With those stack sizes, you go broke, unless you've played with the player before and he always bets out with trips and never bets AA or KK on that board.

I should add that in I've only 3 bet preflop a few hands in the entire 5 hours. I'm aware i'd probably get action preflop, but 75% of the time i'm bettin 2/3 rds pot on flop and taking it down...IDK, maybe this is not a player i want to be playing a big pot with anyway' and i'm happy reraising, c-betting and winnnig the small one'

Also take into account this is WSOP event, hour levels, only in the 2nd hour of play. Players start with 4500 in chips. Most players are pretty nitty in the opening levels or these events (my table's first 4 hours of the 1k event #4 had no allins). I think you can pretty solidly put him on QQ or better and fold. unless you have other information. 37BBs is still a very workable stack.

I can't think of a hand that is worse than yours that calls a river bet....unless you have a read and this is a very bad player who is calling with AK or AQ (just about the only two hands that you beat there), you have to check behind.

I agree that it's really close, but I think you're probably going to find a few spots with less risk to pick up the blinds and survive till a bigger hand or better situation comes along. But i agree with elusively, wait until you're in the CO with T8 or similar with 10bbs to get your stack back to where it is, or maybe you can pick up an ace against a LP raiser and reshove, both better spots, IMHO.

I've been playing in a pretty good (read 4-5 fishes) live game at the Borgata when this hand comes up against the one player I most respect at the table. He has raised maybe 15 pots in the last 5 hours and won 80% of them, most without showdown and when he has shown down it's with huge hands. He's pure TAG, I haven't played with him before, but I've seen him at the Borgata all the time and know he's one of the guys who just sits here and destroys the game week after week.
