Re:Another, possible to make a living playing 50c/1 cash? Why not just play 130 hours a week at 4bb/100 = $1.2 million dollars before rakeback' This post is exactly what I was talking about in my post about how pretty it looks to extrapolate your numbers over increased hours. Until you actually try to play this many hours a week for months on end it is very easy to say "I work 50 hours a week at my crappy job, I can easily play poker for 40 hours a week." Once you try to play this many hours you will realize how much tougher it is to play poker for 25 hours a week then it is to sit at a desk for 40. I made all these same mistakes when I ... Re:Another, possible to make a living playing 50c/1 cash? Yes, some people can make a living at lower stakes like .50-1. However, it is much tougher than most people believe. A couple things to consider from a player who has gone through this personally: It is easy to say I will grind 12 tables for 6-8 hours a day. It looks very pretty on paper when extrapolate your winrate with increasing hours. It is entirely a different story to play 6-8 hours a day. Your first week you will be on an adrenaline rush and you will have no problem. Your second week you will struggle but you will fight through it and get your hours in. By your third week you will be ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:WTF FULL TILT SUCKS, can't even deposit? I was caught up in the first echeck withdrawal problem on FTP about 6 weeks ago. I finally got my money and decided to take the rest of my money off last week. I get an email today saying they are having the same damn problems. Why keep it as an option if you know it's broken' Do you know what PS did' Rather than let me withdrawal with the echecks they are also having problems with, they made me withdraw by check and I had my money within 5 days. Guess who has 100% of my business from now on' (FTP is also rigged as hell). phidelt799 Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Full Tilt apologizes for delays....posted on their forum PostPosted: Wed May 07, 2008 5:45 pm Post subject: Tilters, The delayed transfers started to process on Monday. The transfers have continued to go through since then, and we’re hoping to have them all processed by the end of the week. The transfers should also start to hit bank accounts about 2-3 days after being processed, so some of you will receive your funds very soon and the rest won’t be far behind. While we’re glad this situation is clearing up, we’re really sorry about the delays you’ve all experienced. Hopefully, the worst of this is over, and your bank transfers will be processed ... Re:Up $1k in a day 4 tabling 25c/50c.... I posted my graph but it was deleted. I had a 20 buy-in day at $.25-$.50, I'll post a link to the graph: FYI - This was 12 tabling for a couple hours. Definitely possible. Phidelt799 Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): I got my chat banned for a month on FTP!!!! I am going to butcher this story but hopefully somebody will know what I am talking about and be able to link to it... There was a high stakes player some time back who had his chat banned. They reinstated it briefly at a big final table to discuss a chop and he immediately ran his mouth saying something hilarious. I am laughing now just thinking about it and I can't even remember what he said. Anybody know what I am talking about' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Sit N Go Madness BABYYY I am with truesyalose on this one. It was horrible watching the all-in beats people were putting on each other. I had multiple tables "joking" about trying to get their money in from behind because nobody's hand was holding. I have never been fully convinced about FTP's RNG R'ness but tonight in the madness SNG"s was crazy. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Do any of the top players have a job Excellent point by SITW. Coaching youth hockey is a great way for me to get out of the house, get a little excercise and not feel like a degenerate multi-tabling all day. Having done a lot of bartending jobs in the past, I can tell you that you will get a lot more of what you are looking for from a volunteer position in an area you are passionate about than a job dealing with drunk idiots all night. Re(1): I Want To Deposit 5K on Stars... I sent a certified check for about the same amount last month. It took 3 weeks but that was b/c of US mail, PS turned it around soon as they got it. If you can find a quicker certified way to get a check to them that might be an option. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I am all for anyone taking the plunge EXCEPT anybody who is skipping or taking time off from college. If you can't make some very good money while handling the "grueling" college class schedule then you shouldn't be a full-time pro anyways. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
