Sorel is in a business where his compensation is directly related to his expertise in deception...He literally deceives people for a living (poker). Why does every girl i date/screw have some passionate hate towards poker?
Just wait until you marry and have a kid with one who has GROWN to hate poker! (great girl, dont get me wrong) Honestly, the woman might be right, but its the constant struggle. You want to hang out with your guy friends and do guy things like poker, etc, and she wants you to spend time with her and not hang out with your guy friends (i swear its partially jealousy). Vicious cycle, and pretty sure there is no solution...

Am I the only one who loves M.E.T.s?
Thought I hated them but they aren't that bad...prize pools are awesome..the play is beyond awful cause everyone is playing 10+ tables and if u play good and actually watch your table and learn the players its really easy to get an edge. Still say its HORRIBLE for the poker community in the long run.:..

What a beast, you gotta pull for this dude! Gotta imagine the other players will all be reacting crazy (and incorrectly) when Chris 3,4,5 bets etc. after seeing that. His range is so wide if he is capable of doing this with 75 with millions on the line what a BEAST!!! How do you defend against such a strong player' Gotta be nearly impossible, good stuff, gl to him.

I fully believe they would do this, but as Jaxon pointed out, this will drastically hurt their chances of re-entering the US Market when/if that happens... Maybe I over-reacted on these changes but you have to admit, these changes are in stark contrast to the "Home Games" offering that Poker Stars just came out with. In my opinion, one site cares (at least partially) about the integrity of the game, etc. and the other site cares mostly about rake and getting players to push their comfort zone into more tables, faster, faster, faster.... I'll say it again too, I'd buy stock in Full ...

Poker Stars Home Games stark contrast to Full Tilt's recent gimmicky changes
I tried to sign up for the Home Games on Stars yesterday and was told by Poker Stars support that its not ready in your region yet, blah blah. But i'm not that easy to silence. Today, I tried again and boom, everything is working great, signed up a Poker "Club" and invited members. The interface for the Home Games section is just so darn cool. See a couple screenshots of the lobbies for the Home Games section here: Its pretty much the coolest thing ever you can pick what variety of games to play in your home game including tournaments or cash games. What if at your home game or underground cash game the guy who runs it decides to do the following: Bring in 2 dealers per table and give each player 2 hands per table as fast as possible, separate chip stacks and button and game just same table. The extra dealer gets the cards ready so that when the hand is done the next is instantly ready. Each player will have to make a decision in 10 seconds or else their hand will be taken from them and they will be given a new one. End result: 2x business revenue from the game, more hands played faster, etc. Maybe this would be fun to some players ...

gotcha...so as a BUSINESS, they have to stick to "poker" or else they jeopardize future markets, etc.... Doesn't it seem so obvious how they decided to push rake further and create a casino type atmosphere...these new formats are not poker, what would a legend like Doyle say about Rush Poker' or Multiple Entry Tournaments'...they are morphing "poker" into all these different formats just to attract new players and push rake...its a business decision plain and simple has nothing to do with growing poker or giving it a good name, etc....its about more rake, PERIOD.

Why dont they just cut the gimmicks and have a side branded Full Tilt Casino with table games and all kinds of gambling games' This way they can be open and honest about trying to generate a lot more money for Full Tilt, then thinly vailing these new poker formats which are complete crap and at the core MAINLY benefit Full Tilt Poker... Or am I wrong' Are these new poker games really in the good spirit of poker in the long run' I can't see how thats true....

ok, so which tournaments can you play' Are some more negative EV than others because you know of this change in format and the regular player strength etc' If so, then its messing with the core structure of online poker tournaments, much like RUSH is trying to do with cash games. Rush tournaments didnt work out---> Lets try multiple entry tournaments, same result...Straight business decision. As well, players that don't normally multi table will take on more tables and further be pushed into the RUSH POKER, FAST ACTION, MULTI TABLE, rakefest. Still think this is an elaborate joke... Double Guarantees Week including pros can buyin up to 4 times in the same tournament in order to up the prize pool to meet the double guarantees.... WHAT A JOKE!!!!! So now more buyins in any given tournament are coming from stronger players (assumption but you get the idea), that just can't be good for the game, just can't be in any way....

This seems like an easy solution for FTP to make "Double Guarantee Week" meaningless.... This can't be real...I call BS, no way in hell Full Tilt is going to make ALL of their tournaments multiple entry fields, I just don't buy it...its too stupid to possibly believe...

You can most definitely multi table using ANY gamepad you can plug into your computer. You can use an XBOX 360 controller if you have a usb windows adapter so that it is recognized on your machine. Then you just need to use the included Pinnacle Game Profiler software with hands free that makes the magic happen. Its very similar to Xpadder or some of the other keyboard shortcut clicking software. We will be making a you tube video showing off the capabilities in early January, the idea is definitely be able to multi table with voice OR gamepad. Best case scenario you can plug your ...

Voice activated online poker support for Full Tilt and Poker Stars! Also be sure to stretch and practice good posture. I'd highly recommend a trackball mouse as well, it keeps you from gripping the mouse too strongly.

Its the new "default" theme...I got that message last time I logged in...Seems the buttons are in a little bit of a different place and theme has some differences at the top of the table too...looks like it will let you sit out of all tables and sit back in with one button press!

if you saw it live...Gabe looked like he was scared to death when he checked on the turn...he checked in like 1 second too...like oh dam, this kid just called me like it was nothing... "pot control" is not really applicable here, he either had a really big hand or nothing...no way he checks the turn with any reasonable hands he thinks he beats durrr, because the river could beat him somehow and there was so much money in the pot really an interesting hand and shows Gabe knows that everyone thinks he's a tight ass and he can pull bluffs from time to time...must be rare though

way to explain the hand LOL durrrr 3 bet Kaplans intial raise with 3s2s and Kaplan made a really loose call on the button with 9h6h...obviously Gabe is better than people give him credit The flop came A 3 8 rainbow and durrrr led out with a bet, Kaplan raised him with no hand and durrrr called with bottom pair which was filthy Turned A...check check River 2 durrrr checked and Kaplan looked nervous as hell and bet 50k (looked like the only thing he could get his hands on...bundle of cash)....durrrr almost called and regretted it later... Not like "2 pair" was a good hand on that ...

Stars software is sooo archaic
I personally like Stars software the best...its classic hasn't changed which I like and believe others like that stability too. You know what you are going to get and what to expect with Stars. Love that you can make your own Avatar too... Tilt has been a wild roller coaster this year with their software. I've seen crazy stuff happen, missing cards, crashes, chips disappearing, etc. Their software is certainly the most sophisticated, but I'm not convinced the gameplay is any more appealing than on Poker Stars.
