Fold or Easy Call? i didn't raise pre because yonny hadn't been playing any pots to that point, he was being ultra tight and I didn't see a reason to try and win 5.5 bb's while risking a whole lot more. With antes, this is an obvious raise call, but without, I just don't think too many people are splashing around to light here. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:WTF is this????? he's not worried about robv61, if it was just him in the hand then its a no brainer call. The question is whether he should risk more chips when there's a good chance that nairobi will shove for most of his stack. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Donk play or standard on bubble of 27 man SnG I wouldn't fault the shove, but to do it cuz you think he might fold is not good. With 10bbs you are either jamming or folding, flatting is never an option. Seeing how the villan also only has 10bbs, there is no way he's folding after opening. Its kind of a weird play by him, does make me initially think that he's strong here, but if he's been doing that sort of stuff regularly on a short stack with a wide range then shoving is fine here. After seeing his open, you should probably almost view at as if he's shoved, would you call with 99 or fold then' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:WTF is this????? This is completely read dependent. Lots of solid players at the higher stakes will flat with big hands at this level, but weaker players probably would be flatting suited connector type hands or small pairs here. I think I would probably just fold here cuz 55 is just not strong enough against either range. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:why? I didn't put it like that but I did say something about his baby pic. I admit crap like that is classless, and I promise that you'll never see me say something like that ever again. I made the post because I realize now that this is what I'm going to be doing for a profession, and I feel like that as pros that we should conduct ourselves in a professional manner. why? why do people feel the need to disrespect other players at the table' I admit that I used to sarcastically write wp when I got bad beated but I now even find that things like that are uncalled for. it especially sickens me to see people that consider themselves pros abuse the chat just cause their aces got cracked or something. its part of the game, and one of the reasons we all enjoy playing it. there is no one out there that hasn't sucked out, and to berate someone for making a play is very hypocritical. Even the greats need to win an 80/20 or 70/30 a few times to take a tournament ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Second Chance or Warm Up ??? If it were me, I'd choose the second chance because there's nothing that tilts me more than having a bad warm up tournament because its the only one I'm playing for at least an hour or two, and losing before the other majors start never seems to bode well for my mindset in tournaments like the million, etc. But for you, if you aren't playing a full slate on sunday, I'd play the Warm Up for sure. First, it will have a bigger prize pool and second, it will end by normal peoples bed time. For a rec player, i'm sure the idea of staying up past midnight is probably not ... pokerDB Does anyone know if the pokerDB or account for multiple rebuys in rebuy tournaments when calculating profit' or does it just use the buyin as the cost (so if its an 100r and you rebuy 3 times, does it use 100 or 300 to calculate profit') thanks Posted in: Poker Discussion |
