Re:JJ early in PS Nightly $50
you should definitely show what the action is up till its your decision..' did the limper fold'... im assuming so since you didn't bother to include it. I'm guessing raisers range is AK, 1010+... in which case fold is fine. if you just flat you have no idea where you are post flop and if you raise your only getting action from AK, JJ+. So I think its probably just better to fold your 200 invested.

Re:DID I PLAY THIS BAD? - cash game
At these limits, i dont' think theres anyway you can't put one of these guys on a weaker ace and one one say a strong jack without a strong read that both players as solid. but nice fold.

Re:Final Hand of $10 SnG (27 players)
hes getting 3:1 with a weakish in strength, but decent value drawing hand preflop vs an opponents very likely wide range. A call is not bad, but I think a check raise on the flop is best, but either way with stacks all the money is going in on the flop.... UL.

Re:Not sure what to do with AK
checking the turn is letting him draw for free, sure you want to control pot size but a jack is such a small part of his range that it isn't worth letting him draw freely to control the size of the pot. and if he does bet the turn you have no idea where your at any more and will be lost on the river. bet flop, bet turn, bet river fold to any re-raise on turn and river, flop is read dependant. if you REALLY wanted to take the conservative route... then your line is fine except you want to bet the river as everyone else said.

Re:QQ 30 left in the Stars 30k
3 bet/call shove or just shove... you have an M of like 6.5... your going all the way with QQ here 100% of the time. Big stack's opening range here is well below QQ.

Re:Not sure what to do with AK
if he doesn't raise you on turn, your very likely still good... unless he has like AJ with the A of hearts, which i think he raises you on the flop with. I doubt any other J is in his range. So a raise is the best way to make him pay for his draw/find out where you're at. Only other hands he could have is which is ahead of you is AA with the A of hearts or a made flush. I think this is too small a part of his range for you to not fire a second bullet. I think on the river you could check call, if he calls a bet on turn since hes more likely drawing then having a made hand.

Snap call, if it was righteous or btmpr maybe not, but this is the guy you need to get out in order to make money and you are both borderline with an M of around 4...

Re:Line Check with TP+OESFD in HU SnG
your line is perfect unless he re-raises very light, in which case you should just flat and let him lead out the turn again... though you will have to slow down if you miss on the turn. Your 3-bet i think he is only calling you with hands that your flipping or worse against him with, and if you have a skill advantage your goal is to reduce variance.

Re:Donked or was this a justifiable call to make against me?
one bet to represent your overpair with a weak bet is fine, but on the turn, you have to apply more pressure. a bet of 1500 into that pot is not getting any flushdraw with overcards to fold. your weak betting is begging for a call, and though it may represent strength, the pot-odds are so good that you will get called with marginal hands fairly often.

Re:Cold bets 4 times the pot against me
you should find better spots to take this donks money once you have a read on him. and QJ is a pretty good hand 6-handed but with no reads on players its debatable whether you should have raised.

Re:small flush vs a raise deep stacked
first hand i agree with above... second hand is read dependent... i don't think a guy raises that much if he has filled up... but he might, most likely hes protecting TPTK or AQ, a higher flush or he has some big draw with the ace of spades... or some combination of this... unless this guy likes to raise it up in marginal spots... im folding... overrall i think its just too risky and you should fold.

Re:55 with 15 players left Top 10 ITM.
this is an open shove, you want to put everyones tourney life on the line and give them no fold equity. if you have a good reason to believe someone else might call/raise your raise then its an open fold, because your probably about 50/50 with openers range and you can still probably find better spots with your stack. once you raise a third of your stack, you should be calling to any over shove... only reason you would be raising third of your stack is because you want action... otherwise you should just shove as is the case with 55 and tons of dead equity in the pot. but... i guess as ...

Re:TPTK on a Hideous Board
I would have raised turn for info... as played its tough but i think you have to call, his two pairs are discounted unless he has an 8, only sets or an 8 are beating you which the play doesn't really look like...

Re:Was this the right fold
Suited adds a slight percentage advantage to your hand, about 3% i believe. it is not hugely significant but does obviously help... it should not be a major influential decision, but it can be enough to swing a close call :P

Re:How bad did I play this? SSNL HU
this whole hand si very read dependent, because you said villain was very tight, id be very wary of the reraise on the turn if i held AK... but still call. the river shove would say fold... but with KKKA id probably end up calling and just chalk it up as a cooler. pretty much only full houses+ can call this kind of play correctly on the river from this player you have defined as tight, thought i would have put him on 33 or 66 and not 99.

Re:Set of 3's against two call stations
problem here is if you play fast, your only getting called by better hands (over sets, unless they are really that bad that they will call you with 4 outers for pot sized raises...), and if you play slow your giving thema chance to hit those 4 outers. however, i prefer to err on the side of over aggressive and push them out on a weak draw rather then giving them the chance to draw out. especially since over sets are so unlikely... Id hope they have a strong nine and want to keep you honest, or if they decide to draw for their 4 outer, to have to pay heavily for it. i know it sucks to lose ...
