Consolidated Moved from PD Thread
You can't tell me though that at least some of these sites are/were sitting their own inside people at the tables to alleviate some of the cash crunch issue! It always amazed me how much zany stuff used to happen right at the money bubble, like going all in under the gun for 20bb and having it fold around to some dude who'd been a rock up to that point, snap calling with like 8-4 suited and mysteriously felting you. I know this is going to get filed under more "paranoid" ranting but everything else I've also suggested was shady through the years - only to be told I was crazy - has slowly been ...

Re:Showing Mucked Hands
Thanks, that actually makes the most sense of anything else anyone's said. Although even so proving collusion is about impossible....given the kind of nonsense hands people legitimately pay you off with! Plus anytime you mention such a thing on here they airmail your post to the "bad beats" bin & the poker sites just ignore your email, so I'm not sure what they're worried about, ha ha.

Re:Showing Mucked Hands
In 20 some years of playing live and/or watching it on television, I have never ONCE seen anyone ask to see the mucked losing hand....primarily because to muck literally means to throw it into the discard pile. How could you prevent the losing player from mucking his hand, what would be the penalty' He already lost the hand. It's unenforceable. Therefore it couldn't possibly be a rule.

Showing Mucked Hands
I am new to Ultimate Bet and discovered something in their replay function that I find disturbing. Apparently if you call someone's river bet, but then muck because you had the losing hand, it shows your hand anyway in the replay' Wtf kind of bs is this, and why' That's not a rule, how can they do this' Someone told me all the online sites do this but I disagree. Someone please clarify the what and the why.

Re:Just what is my win % in flips?
I don't need to run the specific percentages in flips. I know that at no point in 5 years of playing online have I won more than 3 consecutive flips....but my streaks of losing 7-10 in a row are numerous. How is this a "coin flip"' Something stinks.

Waiting To Be Moved To The "Bad Beat" Section
Does anyone else find the results they're getting on Bodog and/or the manner in which they're busting out to be a bit odd' Before you pigeonhole me as a losing paranoid player, let me stress that I bought in for $200 back in April of 2007, and I've cashed about $8000 in checks that Bodog has sent me, and I currently have about $2100 on there still. I'm doing alright there, in other words, but - I know enough about percentages, and what makes sense mathematically, to realize that something stinks. I was typing in my text box at a final table recently that I had been THE bubble ...

Re:rigging concern with hard numbers and huge sample.
I've posted some things similar to this in the past and found it swiftly moved to the "bad beat" section as well. To me these are legitimate questions, correct or incorrect, and pocketfives is doing everyone a disservice by basically moving you to the "crackpot weirdo" section for suggesting something could be out of whack on certain sites. There would obviously be a huge upside to the poker sites for rigging hands, so why is it so preposterous to suggest this' The problem is that every publication/site involved with poker is so determined for the game to "make ...

Rules On Posting Blinds
What are the official rules on the way blinds are posted' It was my understanding that these are basic rules of Texas Hold Em and are not open for debate. My specific question concerns what happens when the big blind busts out of a hand. For as long as I've been playing on Bodog, they've handled this incorrectly based on everything I know - if the big blind busts out on Bodog, they have the guy who was under the gun post the small blind on the next hand, and the guy who had been utg+1 ends up posting the big blind. Out of all the sites I play on, they're the only ones who do this, ...

Hand histories
Does anyone know how to download, emaily yourself, and/or copy hand histories at Bodog' It seems like you should be able to, but I can't figure it out.

Please recommend a site
I know there are a lot of seasoned players here and I was hoping someone could recommend a site for me to play on. I have played a little on Absolute and Poker Stars but most of my experience has been on Bodog. Even so, there has always been so much crazy s*** going on with the hands all along, and I think I've finally just had it with playing there - the last ten times I've gone all in with a stack that's at least as big as the buy-in maximum, or greater, and been a significant favorite each time, but won only one of those. And this is by no means unusual, it's been that way ...

Re:funny how i don't hear anything bad about bodog?
Dude I'm starting to wonder about all online poker. There's just too much crazy shit happening. I know all the theories, i.e. you're playing more hands per hour etc but if I sit down to one multi table tournament and it's the only one I'm playing, the play isn't all that much faster than a live game and still about every other hand is beyond bizarre. In pair over pair confrontations, for example, and neither one of you improve on the flop, and your opponent has no straight or flush draws, he's reduced to two outs....he should win 8 times for every 92 you win. Who ...

Is Anyone Regulating This?
I've actually been playing poker online for quite some time, and I'm aware of all the theories about why this seems to be the case (more hands played per hour than a live game, playing a number of tables at the same time, etc) so I don't mean to come off but like a paranoid newbie, BUT.......is there anyone actually regulating these websites' claim that they truly have a random deal' It doesn't matter how fast the game is progressing or how many tables you're playing at once, the odds are still the odds. To give one example, in pocket overpair vs pocket overpair on ...

Re(1): Do you think this was a good fold on river
it's hard to say with these retards. For him to limp in utg, though, he might very well have a suited ace or a jack ten suited. It looks like he has about an average stack, though, which would indicate he probably wasn't playing like an absolute maniac, correct'

Re(1): Is this a spew? Would you have folded? I Hate JJ
The rule of thumb with JJ is...every time you play it you lose, and every time you fold it it turns out you would have won. Seriously, though, there's not enough info on the all in overbet player to really know. But the way I generally play JJ is if there's all undercards and no real obvious draws out there, I'd call this bet
