Yahoo Sports Writer Murders the English Language
These aren't really "reporters" in the traditional sense. They're bloggers, and I doubt that there are editors at Yahoo who read their copy before it gets posted to the web. Not saying it's right, but as a sports editor, I can tell you that this is probably the case.

How Many Times A Day Do You Appease Others?
I'd say a lot, you sort of have to when you work in close quarters to others. That said, I probably don't do it nearly as much as other people. And never for my significant other or anyone who I'm truly close to. They know they have to earn my positive reinforcement.

Tweeting on Facebook problem
I'm having trouble linking my twitter account to my facebook page. When it asks me to login to my twitter account for the FB app, it keeps saying invalid credentials or invalid username or invalid pw. But I'm completely sure that all my information is correct. Anyone ever had this problem' What do I do' This is for my blog that is up and coming (and apparently I can't post the link here as I learned last week) so I'd like to get this problem fixed asap. Cardio/Running Question
Which cardio exercise is better for you in terms of burning calories and losing weight' A: Jogging 2 miles on the treadmill in about 18-20 minutes. B: Doing intervals on the treadmill, in a 5-4-3-2-1 succession. This means walking 5 minutes at a brisk pace, then jogging for 5 minutes, then walking for 4, jogging for 4, etc. Total workout = 30 minutes. I have done both. Option A makes me more tired, but Option B keeps me on the treadmill for about 10 minutes longer, thus keeping my heart rate elevated for 10 more minutes.

Flatting pre is cool... But assuming his range here is TT+, AK, you only beat 2 of his 5 possible hands (6 if you include the other QQ). Hence, it's a fold. If you can widen his range to the point that it could include 99 and AQ, it's a check/raise, but that is very unlikely against a standard winning player.

Anyone know anything about TV's? Help please
I'm a student looking to buy a TV for my apartment. I'm looking for the best possible 37 inch HDTV for no more than $800. But I have no idea what any of the technical terms mean. I just want it to look really nice for HD channels, movies, and 360 games. Also, the sound has to be good and the channels have to change at a good rate (I have seen a lot of TV's that take a while to change channels and its infuriating). Any help would be great. Footnotes: Best HDTV for $800 or less, preferably 37"

Lincecum no question deserved the award. However, Cole Hamels had the 2nd best year out of any pitcher in the NL. His 14-10 record does not do him justice; check out his IP, K's, WHIP, and ERA. The trade is not official, but yes it does look as if it is going to happen. And I agree with OP, this trade seems to go against Billy Beane's entire philosophy. Holliday is a tremendous player, but there is no way they resign him, and no way they win the world series with him this year. And it is not like they are clearing up salary space for 2010 by trading prospects, because they don't make anything. Billy Beane must be thinking that his team could make a run for the playoffs if they acquire Holliday. He is one of the best judges of talent in the league, so maybe he knows ...

Obviously there is no way to assign percentages to the physical and mental aspects of sport. But when talking about a professional sports league, I would say that the thing that separates the great players from the others is mental ability... whether that be the ability to improvise on the fly, or the ability to handle pressure. Attention OT: Calling out Ditka88
Hi all. I was in the OT fantasy baseball league this past year, the one run by MUPP. At one point during the season I bet Ditka88 that I would beat his team by 1.5 points. We bet $100, and I won the bet. After the season, he had not sent me the money for a few days, so I pm'd him. He asked me what my names were so that he could ship, I told him, and he still has not paid. It has now been 3 weeks. IMO this is complete douchebaggery, and he needs to be called out. What credit card should I get?

Massive Pot in Live 1/2 Game
A friend of mine played this hand in a live 1/2 game. I say he should have folded, he's not too sure. Tell me what you think. With a stack of $800, he raises UTG to $12 with 8c9c (probably a bad play but not the key point). Almost everyone at the table calls. Flop comes KcQc2c, so he flops the flush. Buddy checks and it checks all the way around to the button, who has my friend covered and bets $75. Friend then check-raises the minimum to $150, and the villain goes allin. Friend calls.
