RIP Wachovia
I'm sad to hear this news. I played tons of hands and tournies with Wachovia over the years, especially back in 05 and 06. One of the more fun moments I had playing with him was when I shoved 2d3d from the BB over what I perceived to be a steal by him. He snap called with AA and I hit to take a huge pot. He was not happy, but laughed about it later :o) My condolences to friends and family, he will be missed by many people

LockPoker Cashout issues please help
My post in reply to this post was deleted. All the crap on this site and you delete my post, good work. I'll say it again and you can go ahead and delete it again. I'll even say it in a nicer way. Basically gags, this site is sending emails stating that there are still US sites to play on and Lock is one of them. They even have a nice sign up promotion, the IPAD 2. So maybe fathom that one reason people are depositing is that we are being marketed to deposit with nice incentives. I am not bashing this site in any way. I appreciate the offers and all that P5s does for its members.

LockPoker Cashout issues please help
I really can't fathom why P5s has been sending emails telling it's customers which US sites are safe and accepting US players. Lock poker is at the top of the list of sites P5s is promoting. You know, the site you work for and post on, pocketfives.

That article is poorly written by a truly uninformed writer. We are not able to cashout on pokerstars or fulltilt yet, we were just told we will be able to at some time, hopefully soon. Also, it has been made pretty clear by the DOJ that we will not be able to play on pokerstars again for the forseeable future. A couple of things have been clear to me since this all came down on Friday. Fulltilt was paying far more attention to the guy who was arrested and then finally released late last year than we were. Yep, there is no correct answer on this one. Lots of nuances and personal choices regarding posting there. I hope players like yourself and ape post in there. It's great to read hand/strategy discussion from players that play and think on your guys level, even if I don't get to apply any of it in the games I play.

I disagree with you, but certainly wouldn't berate you. Your points are valid and I think I understand where you're coming from. You say you don't see why it's beneficial to contibute to the HSMTT forum, but as you can see by any strat thread there are differences of opinions and sometimes not always one correct line. Reads are inperfect and reading someone else's read on you is even further difficult. If they are in the blinds and it folds around to them, they are heads up and in no way can they bet someone out of the pot. This is not the only reason to frown upon softplay though.

I believe FTP and STARS are named in the new proposed California Poker legislation as being sites that will not be allowed in the California market because they have ignored the UIGEA. State legislation is a whole other story that blows.

I don't agree with you and wacky on #1. Stars, from personal experience, friends and all major forums, never had the level of issues that FTP has had in terms of cashouts. Stars has had issues with 3rd party payment processors, but resolved very quicly and communicated much better. The other major issue with FTP cashouts was the removal of paper checks. There are people that do not have, nor cannot get a checking account, if they are on chx systems for example. There are zero cashout options for them without paper checks. I think it was the sunday million a couple of days ago where I saw this affect a chop. I believe they were down to 5 or 6 players and there was talk to look at numbers. The PS host said that all players needed to agree to pause and he would pause the tourney. Everyone typed "agreed" and the host missed a player and asked him to agree. This allowed another hand to go down where a player lost another BB to a raise. Because the pause was screwed up by a PS host, one player gained a few K in equity and another player lost it. That's how it works on pokerstars too. I traded with someone here, FTP to PS and tried cashing out just some and they said no at first, then came back and said I had to aquire a minimum amount FPPs before they'd let me cash out. They said they're not a money transferring service. It's not just UB

Got the same delivery, but at 9pm, 3 days after i requested it. That blew me away. The guy didn't mention anything about poker though. I still don't understand how PS can get you check faster than FT can respond to an email. FT can't even get you a check anymore, such a joke that site is lol
