Re(3): UB is a JOKE!! Here is their absurd response to the huge overlay the other nite in the $120 Bounty 30K!! yeah, it's funny, on another forum i read a lot they have a topic for ppl wanting to trade money between sites, and pretty much every post is people with money on UB they want to get rid of with no takers. But offers to trade between ftp and stars happen all the time. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): PXF Video by Inissint... I agree, I think hiding the names but then occasionally giving broad enough hints that it is easy to figure out is kind of dumb. Especially since during the live videos, they don't hide the screen names obv. I don't get it. I think honestly, the hand replayer they made doesn't have screen names in it, so they decided to be cryptic about it, that's all. Anyway that just hanging around video, I think it's actually kinda old. I would assume the players would be better now since most games online are tougher now. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): wsop package question... There is no point trying to win if you def. can't play it, stars MAY let you roll it to next year but it's not in their stated rules AND who the hell knows what the WSOP 08 will be like. It just makes no sense to try and win a seat if you can't play. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): petition.... stars make $300+ hu's with no blind increase! pleassse! Prob just cause they just aren't popular, so they haven't bothered. There are no $300 HUs btw right' I think the no-blinds-increase games are actually WAY more suited to fixed limit games, not the NL which they offer it for. I wish they'd add them for LHE and other limit games. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): 100 to 1,000 in 2 days Play whatever your best game is. Depending onthe hours you put into it you may be better off playing higher-volatility games like omaha, but really if you are any good at heas up SNGs, they may be the easiest way to get there fast. Also if you lose 1 or 2 in a row you will faily, so don't lose ha. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): hand from 1-2nl 6max Menlo: The reason KQ is not the best hand to 3bet OOP is because once you are called, you are never sure where you are at. If you 3bet with a stronger hand, or with a speculative hand like 67 or 22, at least you have a good idea of where you are at if you are indeed called. Doing it with KJ or KQ will tend to create stickier situations when you flop a pair and get a lot of action, like here. I personally do not love the 3bet preflop here, I guess postflop it's not horrible really, I mean the flop bet is fine, but when he calls you should be worrying. I don't think betting this river for ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Cardrunners Forums quick question The forums are good, they're not as active as 2p2 or p5s, because they havent been around as long and I mean 2p2 has a ZILLION members, but they're good and very useful. They're much more useful than I thought when I signed up, I assumed they'd be kind of a quiet ghost town or something. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): CALI Players esp. BAY 101 PLAYERS... "on an J-7-6 flop he bets 2, i raise to 4, he raises to 7, i raise to 10, he folds" This is only incorrect in that noone folds in a live 1-3 spread limit game ever. Other than that, you have it correct. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Haha busted by Pokerstars for "using" a bot No, when I used it against my friend in the heads-up room, it did extremely horribly. Basically, everytime he raised, it folded, like SO SO much. I assume it has built-in programming to deal with full ring games and isn't suited to heads-up play, because it was just super passive and just lost every pot almost. After about I dunno, 40 or 50 hands, we were just like "okay this is getting boring" and I turned it off and just played him normally hah. I have no clue whether it would be profitable in full games or not, I never tried it in them, and I'd feel way too skeezy to even give it a shot ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Haha busted by Pokerstars for "using" a bot Ha, after reading a long, troubling thread on another forum about people using bots on partypoker, I downloaded winholdem just for curiosity, and never actually used it on stars, I just wanted to see what it was about and unzipped it to my desktop. I did use it on UB in a penny limit HU room cause my friend wanted to play against a bot, so I obliged him. Anyway, I just got an email from stars saying my account is suspended because of this. Props to them for being vigilant I guess, it sounds like this is more of a warning than anything and they'll re-open it anyway. Just a warning I guess, if ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): SNG question Even some donks know stop and go! But that's really a non-issue, I just added that as a reason to shove rather than standard raise. I just can't see any reason to standard raise here with JTs and invite action, hence always shove over raising. Like you said, some donks will definitely raise here with K9 if you raise. They'll probably call anyway, but shoving is still better just in case. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): SNG question I am not gonna do the math, but I think you might find an -ev range, I mean if they're going to call with any A, any K, any Q, JT+ and any pair, I think this could be -ev, cause there are 2 of them to get through and you're risking 10 BBs, if their ranges are super wide, this could be -EV for sure. I dunno, someone could do the math, I mean I still shove here alllll the time, but I just err on the side of shoving when in doubt. (i am not good btw) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): SNG question Standard raise here is so bad, you are just asking for a stop-and-go, and can you really call it if the flop comes like Q23 with JT' AK sure, not JT. If you play this, you gotta just shove, 100% of the time. I don't actually know what hand I would play here and NOT shove, I guess big pairs maybe AK. Whether you have to play JTs here is the real question (I guess you did specify that hah). You're saying their ranges are really big to call, so I dunno, it feels borderline, I feel like it's actually probably neutral EV, cause JTs plays OKAY against ppl calling with a wide range like ace rag, ...
