thoughts on this line? stars 150
you are a far superior player to me Jeff, but on such a dangerous flop i would be more than happy to c/r all in and just take the pot down right there and 15% to my stack. There are just far too many scare cards that can hit the turn. With your bet on the flop you have already put in almost 1/3 of your stack and if you feel as if you will probably call the turn bet anyways why not just c/r all in on the flop and force your opp. to make a tough decision instead of letting the turn card hit and then forcing yourself to make a tough decision'

well said steve... unfortunately, most people are complete morons and vote according to their passions instead of actually stopping to think about what is best for the future of their city, state, country, world, etc.

Stomp the Yard..terrible movie? I think not...Stats show otherwise
The fact that this movie is #1 shows you where we as a society are headed. If a movie basically about a bunch of people dancing like clowns is the most entertaining thing on any weekend then we are in deep trouble. GG Intelligence. GG Good Taste.

The Power to Prevent the Next Disaster Lies With All of Us
i agree with what you are saying, voting is one of the most important things that we as american citizens will do in our lives. While the response to the area has been inadequate and slowly moving, "avoiding" natural disasters is impossible. When mother nature decides to flex her muscles we humans become mere spectators.

a good two days that shouldve been better
Biglu, let me give you a brief lesson on why the 88 push is a good play. #1. You have him covered. No matter what the end result of the hand is you CANNOT go broke. That is of the highest importance. #2.Since you have your opponent covered, what cards you have is almost irrelevant here. He is going to need a BIG hand to call you here. One could make avery good argument that re-rasing here with almost any 2 cards is a good play. Recognizing these situations and taking advantage of them is what separates good MTT players from great ones. I can assure you that most if not all of the top ranked ...

if losing that pot "put a dagger" in your bankroll then you are definitely playing at too high stakes. I would recommend you read Fox's blog for some guidelines.

Looooooooooooool. If you do not push these two situations you are never going to win an MTT. Both of these pushes are standard for a good MTT player.

can someone please tell me what this guy was thinking
Indeed, his calls were terrible, but your weak bets were probably worse. Slowplaying, or making small bets with the nuts on the flop is suicide in Omaha. In Omaha when you flop a hand which is the nuts, but is still vulnerable (your set of aces, for example) you want to bet big and take down the pot then and there, or at the very least, make your opponent pay max $$$ for the opportunity to outdraw you

ummm... wouldnt you WANT him to call' In your position i would want this guy to call EVERYTIME. Having donkeys call our all ins drawing to two cards is how good players make money. Complaining about bad beats is RETARDED. Donkeys drawing thin is how you make money in this game, so when they catch you should not complain/whine about it, rather you should be happy he called because roughly 90% of the time you will win the hand.

Interesting bubble situation
Its absolutely correct to say that his opp. played it terribly. Limping and then calling off 40% of your stack with KJ isn't horrible' lol. Please. What is KJ ahead of that the OP is pushing with' The answer.... nothing. Horrible is an absolutely correct assessment of the play. As far as pushing the AT, that is a tough one. I might prefer just standard raising. Granted, a good opponent could easily just shove you with any 2 cards and you would have to fold. But with another opponent having less than half your stack shoving 17 BB's in is probably a little too risky. Especially if you know, ...

did i not bet enough or is this a terrible call after the flop?
im ok with you just calling pre flop, your hand isnt anywhere big enough to consider reraising a UTG raiser. however, on the flop i think you have to make a big big raise, big enough to not give anybody the proper price to call except for hands you have dominated (AK,AA,KQ, 2 pair, etc). however, judging by his play, i dont think you could have raised enough to force him out of the hand.
