Re:Final table semi-bluff in a live $50+1RB+1Add-on
I considered just calling the 3500 flop bet. However, I am 95% sure that the 2 flop callers in the hand are never slow-playing two pair or a set in this situation. I am only really worried about the original SB bettor (he could have 2 pair or a set as well as a good 10 or a big combo draw). My logic for re-raising is that there is already 16,900 in the pot at this point and I could take it down on the flop (50% stack increase) without a showdown. If I flat call the 3500 I really need a off-suit 5 or 9 on the turn and even then this could actually have helped one of the 2 callers who I ...

Final table semi-bluff in a live $50+1RB+1Add-on
Hand from a live $50 + 1RB + 1 Add-on. 5k starting chips and the rebuy and add-on each give an additional 5k. Blinds start at 50/100. First 2 levels are 45 mins then all other levels are 30 mins. Low turnout so only 25 players in the tourney. Total prize pool $2,900. 3 prizes: 1st $1450, 2nd $870, 3rd $580. I am in for the full $150. At the final table of 10 players the blinds start at 600/1200 (no antes in this tournament). Total chips in play 290k. Average is therefore 29k. I start with 27k. During first 30 mins I have raised 3 times. Twice opening 2.5x with AK from early position and ...

Re(1): Live Poker Question--Caesar's noon
I played in on Sat 16th Feb and it finished at 9pm with a 3-way chop. Only 50 players started though. It may have been quiet due to the Venetian Deepstack event running at the same time. The structure is very good with 10k in chips and 40 minute levels. 1st place was $5300. Definitely recommended.

Re(3): Mid Stakes MTT Group thread
Devil, I was reading your thread and I thought of something that could work very well instead of creating a new website for your group. You could set up a free wiki. No programming or other IT knowledge is required to set up and use a wiki. A wiki is basically a website which allows users to add and edit content collectively. You can create a private wiki and only give the password to members of your group. You can add any number of pages to your wiki and because all members can create and edit pages it means there is not a heavy burden on the group organiser. When you edit a wiki page you ...
