Min raised PF, huge 4b...
I probably flat he quite a bit of the time. You both are deep and you have position and your hand will be very disquised if you hit. Obv if he is like 30 even 40bbs deep I dont hate 3 bet getting it in nearly as bad.

these moves +ev agianst tinking players?
Y are we flatting a raise here OOP preflop with a9o in the first place' Seems to make more sense to fold or 3 bet if you think he is opening light. Flatting those hands will just cost you money in the long run imo.

Poker tournament formula 2 (Snyder)
Considering that you really should never be "betting for information" but rather betting with the intention to get your oppents to fold or make value calls....I'd say that book is definitely borderline retarded lol.

Trying to extract value
As played you basically have no choice but to shove the river. Pretty sure though the best play would to have just jammed preflop. Your stack size is perfect here to jam pre and with the dead money in the pot you increase your stack by over 20% if he folds and your hand plays really vs his calling range.

109 6m: Optimal line with AA?
I honestly just jam it in pre here. I think your flat looks really strong here. Like if you were playing this hand against me I would know you are a compitent player and wouldn't expect you to flat a wide range with only 25bbs. However, if you jammed pre I could add in quite a few more hands which might get a much looser call.

27.50: AJo SB vs winning regular on BTN
If he is a solid player like you say then I really don't like your 3 bet pre. You are both very deep so I think he flats you a ton here. Now not only are you playing the flop OOP but its an inflated pot. I doubt I ever 3 bet here and tbh I probably choose to fold most of the time. But if I felt compelled to play the hand I just flat and take the most pot controlled line I can if I hit a hand like TP/TK and if I miss I probably just go away most of the time. Also, I probably wouldn't have cbet in this spot mainly cause he won't give you credit for much and if he floats and you miss ...

How is everyone handling floaters?
Hey guys...floating is spreading through online poker like an epidemic right now. Out of position, in position, observers etc... I'm just trying to figure out the best way to counter them without turning into a passive player and obviously trying to prevent spewage. For the sake of discussion lets just say the players are all competant and are all running very normal numbers like 21/15 or something. 1. What are you doing when you are OOP on dry/wet flops' 2. What are you doing in position on dry/wet flops' Are we double barreling more' Cbetting less or maybe bigger' Maybe I'm the ...

Hand walkthrough
TJ, personally I think your line here is fine because of the numbers this guy is running. I mean I don't know how many hands you have on him but at 45/36 I would think he is perfectly capable of turning a pair of 8's (etc.) into a 3 barrel bluff. Also, we shouldn't discount the fact that UTG present day is quite different than it was in the past. I mean people open wide now for the most part. I have noticed it tightening back up a bit but still UTG is much looser than it used to be. The only way I can see folding pre is if he is a super nit but with any normalish numbers I think you ...

QQ spot
It is obviously a tuff spot given how deep you both are. I think flatting the 3 bet is the best option because getting in pre seems pretty spewy. The flop is tricky cause if he has a hand like 88-jj then you want to raise cause an over card is going to come a fairly high % of the time on the turn which could be an action killer. However, you run into the situation you did some of the time also. So I think the best way to deal with the decision on the flop is asigning him a range first. I doubt that he is 3 betting you with 8's, 9's, or 10's and probably not even jj...so I think his ...
