A run-of-the-mill 2 outer on the River
In retrospect, the only thing I could have done differently was fold before the flop. This tourney isn't even over yet (and I am still alive), but this hand would have put me in 1st place after the 1st hour. Re(1): Hellmuth playing the 9:30PM Aruba
I watched Hellmuth get beat last night - it was pure entertainment. Hellmuth had done well, building up a nice chip stack (close to 10,000 I believe). Early in the 2nd hour (I think), he lost most of his chips to "POT BULLY", when Hellmuth pushed all-in from the SB with QQ, and POT BULLY turned over KK. Making it even worse was when 2 more K's hit on the board for a 4 of a kind. That knocked Phil down to about 2,000 in chips, but he worked his way back up again to about 4,000. I don't remember the exact sequence of cards, but POT BULLY took him down again, calling big bets from Phil after ...

Re(1): WORST BAD BEAT EVER OMG SO FRIKEN STUPUID!!!!
Maybe Adam will start giving $20 to the most unintentionally funny post each month' At least I learned something new today. 3 to a flush after the flop is still considered a flush draw, and even if two overcards come on the flop when I'm holding a pocket pair, I know I'm still ahead. Thank God for Ultimate Buddy....

Live tourney bad beat
Hey all - great site. First time poster here. I play at UltimateBet frequently under this name. I played in a live charity event on Saturday. 200+ players crammed into an over-heated high school gym. As it turns out, poker players don't smell that great - it definitely made me appreciate the privacy of on-line poker that much more. I played very well early on, mostly by abusing the newbies to poker who think that Norman Chad is a genius. After about 2 hours, I was up to $30K in chips, and we started with $5K each. I was making the correct reads on the people at the table, and pushing them ...
