66 in sb vs button 17bb open shove My read on the player is that he solid as has not entered many pots and managed to keep a healthy stack for a while, however he has recently lost a big pot and is now short stacked, When it folds to the button i think he shoves a lot of hands i am flipping with my 66 and i dominate some ax hands and pairs, So what is the best play here' pokerstars Game #71257803926: Tournament #548011117, $10+$1 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level XV (500/1000) - 2011/11/28 1:19:36 ET Table '548011117 8' 9-max Seat #5 is the button Seat 1: wojowest (31495 in chips) Seat 3: missmaree12 (32105 in chips) Seat 4: ... JJ in BB 6max Thanks for the tip with regards to the format in which I post my hands Char my problem here is that when I raise only jj+ and ak is shoving me here ( no reads on player) I think when he flats i have his range crushed but he didnt do that, In general I have started to notice many spot in poker (this is one of them) where when you raise pre you only get action when you are beat and fold out worse hands, this is why I dont 3bet jj and aq much and rather flat unless I have reads or stack dynamics indicate i should do so otherwise Posted in: Poker Discussion |

AK shove flop when missed the flop I pick up AKo and reraise with the intention of shovin non A or K flops, I have no reads on the player. The problem here is that I shoved more than the size of the pot on the flop, i think its around 1.3x the pot In my mind shoving more than the size of the pot with this play is a mistake, what you guys think' pokerstars Game #70313386487: Tournament #546010174, $3.00+$0.30 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level IV (50/100) - 2011/11/10 5:04:17 ET Table '546010174 74' 9-max Seat #4 is the button Seat 1: Luckyday4los (4200 in chips) Seat 2: msllms (4477 in chips) Seat 3: lacikacika (1343 in chips) is ... AKo in $10 deep stack vs fishy player Ok so i pick up AKo in sb and a player which I think is generally fishy gets involved, My thinking pre is that I need to reraise an amount preflop where i can correctly shove any non A or K flop because the pot size (on the flop) makes it correct to do so. What you guys think of my flop shove' pokerstars Game #70288829037: Tournament #546010383, $10+$1 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level VI (100/200) - 2011/11/09 15:37:39 ET Table '546010383 56' 9-max Seat #3 is the button Seat 1: SneakerPro (18935 in chips) Seat 2: giumis (26087 in chips) Seat 3: vetaly25 (7335 in chips) Seat 4: pupkevicius1 ... Re:AK all in pre flop, ur views thx for responses, i wasnt giving a specific scenario, i just meant in general, i basically dont like going all in with ak when people are willing to push very low pocket pairs in a lot of situations. the reason i referred to them as donks earlier is because of the tight strong image i have in a table, and i know they have crap cards due to their donk plays made earlier and they push anyway. i suppose its just part of poker and my question has no real answer to it. AK all in pre flop, ur views hi, i play in $10 to $25 large mtt tourneys on full titl, One of the main ways i tend to lose lots of chips is all in with AK, versus good hands like qq, but mostly donks going all in with 55 and so on. Firstly let me say that i do not initiaite the all in, (unless i want to steal some loose raisers) but i get into a situation where I raise to like %25 of our stacks and guy goes all in, ocassionally with a weaker ace, but a lot of the time with a pocket pair. obv i must call this all in right' I have the philosohpy of small ball poker, and need to avoid 50/50 all ins in large mtts, unless ... Re:Very tough spot for me in the 9am $100 tourney on the actual bubble...what do you do? i like the way neek played the hand i would have played it the same way, the bubble situation is irelavent for the guy with aq coz he has everyone covered. jj all in is like the worst play you can make in this spot, beacuse you stil have 26 BB left. if you had like 7BB left then its a shove, flat calling gives you the chances of catchin a set for cheap, it also gives you the chance of winning if overcards do not come. (unles he has qq+) a raise of any sort preflop is bad, he might then go all in and you would have no idea where you are at, coin flip, or dominated. (it you must see flop for ...
