Re:Best 200 and 400NL cash players On Stars Janetlee123 has been crushing those games for years, also plays some 3/6 and 5/10. Lately though he mostly plays heads up. Another great 2/4 player on Stars is Ty Romper.k Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:What is your crappiest day in poker? 1.) Party Poker closing. They had the best PLO cash games. Rapidly moved up from 2/4 to 10/20 PLO with small initial deposit. Had enormous bb rate per 100 with the terribad play there. 2.) Paradise Poker closing. Site I got started and built my bankroll on, miss it for nostalgia and their great rebuy tourneys that I always seemed to do so well in. Haven't been able to replace the consistency that I had there on Dise with Pokerstars despite having some big scores on Stars. Also some good PLO action on Dise. 3.) Losing 20k in 25/50 pot limit omaha. Taking shot way above my usual limits of ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Banned from Pokerstars =( I think hattrick got a huge, unfair bad beat, but as others have pointed out its completely within their right to refuse service to anyone, anytime they wish. In the future people will have to be careful about who they conduct business with in the poker world. Anyone who tolerates any kind of shadyness among their friends or poker relations can get burned like hattrick and sooners did. Its like the guy's head on a pole in the town square in medieval times. He was probably innocent and everyone knew it but people straightened their act up because they didn't want to end up like him. Re:The Difference between Stars and FTP Full Tilt has a better structure than Stars. If you play the any of the rebuy tourneys for instance you have plenty of chips to work with for the first few hours. Then around bubble time until the final table its not uncommon for the chips to shoot up from 500-1k to 2.5k-5k. A 5 fold increase in a little less than an hour. So theoretically your chip stack needs to quintuple up as well just to keep pace with the blinds. You just don't get that many good hands in an hour so you really have to gamble in the later stages. How often you run up AK into AA? For me AK has run into AA about 7 or 8 times past week, so many times that I'm starting to devalue AK. I just had it happen 2 times in the past 5 minutes. Ive only played about 70 tourneys the past week so it seems highly abnormal. Up against KK you atleast have one live card but there is no worse feeling than running AK into AA and almost drawing dead to broadway and flushes. Does this happen to others quite often or is this a statistical anomaly. Whats the odds that someone has AA when you hold AK at a nine handed table. Normally its 1 in 24 hands someone holds AA at the table, with ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:WCOOP ME Sweat Thread (Final 60) Anyone else think Liberace got a bad deal and AJK a great deal. Liberace has half the chips in play and AJK only 5% of the chips in play. And being 5 handed the shortstacks disadavantage and big stacks advantage are both magnified. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:life ban Your attitude is terrible. Your sense of entitlement, your lack of appreciation of the gift that you have and the amount of money you've made in such a short period of time. Most people around the world have to work shit jobs their whole lives just so they and their families can survive. Poker bankrolled you and gave you the freedom to do whatever you want in life, yet poker is "gay" because you weren't getting rich enough, fast enough. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Joe Hachem Nice flat call on the turn there with the nuts. It was intended to be a safe play but resulted in Joe stacking off on the river. Joe should just stay away from PLO, he's probably down several hundred thousand+ in that game. Maybe why he's getting so angry. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Joe Hachem I have played quite a bit of 5/10 PLO on Stars with Hachem. He was generally a very bad player and made the table very profitable for everyone there. But his biggest weakness seemed to be little understanding of pot size in relation to hand values. For example he would limp then stack off 100 big blinds with a hand like middle pair and jack high flush draw (which is a bad hand to play in Omaha in just an orphan pot). That TT hand was another perfect example. This is a mistake that can be easily corrected if someone just told Joe and he worked on it a bit. For whatever reason he hasn't ... Re:Some big breaking news regarding UB... A long time pro warned me a long time ago not to play on Ultimate Bet because the owners are corrupt and Russ Hamilton has been affiliated with the mafia in the past. To all the people who want to crusade against against Ultimate Bet and expose their dealings, while honorable intentions, should also take a word of caution that these are very shady and potentially dangerous people. Re:WCOOP 2008 - Schedule Set! Here is what I like about the schedule: - the high buyins will give an extra incentive for players to play qualifiers for the high buy in events since there are no lower buy in events. - There are $200 NLHE freezouts with huge prize pools every Sunday. The WCOOP is special, why should it duplicate tournaments that can be found any given weekend. - Lots of non-hold em events - 10 million dollar main event with 5k buy in. Re:Freakiest Dream You Ever Had I just had a dream last night where my dick fell off while I was taking a piss at a public toilet. So I put it in a plastic ziplock bag, about to go to the hospital wgeb some dude walks in, sees the dick in the bag and calls 911. Just an hour before that dream I had a real wet dream where some chick was giving me a great blow job. Strange sequence of events. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(1): Congrats to Luhman on 2nd place It is ignornat to criticize lhuman or ruthan on a few hand histories, or to label them a donkey. Both of those players are top notch and did better than everyone else at adjusting to the circumstances of that tourney which featured extreme preflop aggression. The last 5 tables in this tourney saw constant reraising and rereraising preflop. I myself had a streak of about 15 times I opened raised and I was reraised. Yet I was still able to accumulate chips because I repushed and took down the pot, or gambled with hands like KQ and AT (dnd both times I was far ahead, they had QT and 89). Despite ... Re(1): Insane fold from Tony Hachem (Joe's brother) Three things: - Hachem probaby knew the guy had a mid pocket pair, 88-JJ, based on the size of his raise. He had probably seen enough of the guy's raises to put him on a range of hands. This is a scared bet that amateurs often make. - The flop action reinforced the fact that he had an overpair. Remember this guy is an amateur, that they get attached to hands and overpairs. Hachem knew that and by now Hachem knew his range of hands for sure, 88-JJ. If he had AK or anything else he would of folded (amateurs aren't that bad) and if he had AA or KK he probably would of went all in (and he ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

100% Quitting Stars - It is Absolutely Rigged Today I played like a donkey in 4 tournaments and sucked out on about 10 people with the worst hand all in preflop, like KQ vs AK, A5 vs AK, 44 vs KK, JJ vs QQ etc. Every single time I was really dominated I won, not once did I lose. Likewise 6 hands I had the best hand dominating and 5 of those I lost. I was watching the other hands on my tables and the worst hand almost always won. Now I made a small profit in those tournaments and actually benefited from the Stars riggedness, however from now on I refuse to play on that site. What happened today nearly defys mathematical probabilty and I ... Posted in: Bad Beats |
