Re:Scott Montgomery BUSTO???
lol, the amount of stone lies in this thread is hilarious. Let's start at the beginning, I have never been to AC. Ever. Not even once. Haven't played 2/5 live anytime in the last year. "Pretty sure I saw on wickedchops that he was known to indulge fairly frequently in illicit substances, could this be a factor'" Wtf' I'd like to see a link to this, as I'm pretty sure this is BS that was just made up on the spot. "I was talking with a few guys in AC and they said he has been backed for that and a couple of live tourneys >1k BI..." I have never been ...

Re:WSOP final table prep
i remember the hand against durr. he raised, got a call and then in the BB i have AA. we all had deep stacks, so i seemed like a perfect steal spot. so the oversized raise looks nice and suspicious. plus if i triple his bet i will usually get 2 callers, which if definetely don't want. so i think 5x was the right bet, and i did get 1 caller anyway, which was what i wanted. but i hear what you are saying. if it had have been heads up i would have stayed with the standard 3x bet so as not to give away anything about my hand. well done in that tourny though. too bad you couldn't have ...

WSOP final table prep
well, it's about a week until final table time for the wsop main event. all the eps have aired on tv already. as expected, i looked like a total fool. understandable, since i sure played like one. but that's not important. i have a request for the p5 community. i need help. do you have a lot of free time, and feel like helping a sucker like me win the main event' here's how. first - watch the videos available of me (wpt season 6 LA poker classic, wsop main event day 7) and tell me if you spot any tells, patterns, etc. Even better if you've ever actually played with me live ...

Re:P5'er Scott Montgomery
the joe awada thing was the funniest part of the whole hand. i probably would have turned around and decked him straight out after seeing that i lost. and yes, i do suck that much to put it all in with no hand, no draw, and no fold equity. go me!

Re:Legends of Poker at the Bicycle Casino
for the charity one, they take $100 out of your $1000 entry. so not bad at all. i've been in la for the last few days, but nothing worth mentioning yet. hopefully i can keep up my run in the main event though :p

Re:The Rags to "Riches" Grind. What's Your Story?
hmm, here's my rags to riches story. started out online with about $50, busted three or 4 times before i started getting it going. so total investment of about $200. i remember winning a 6-handed $30 tourny for about $900 bucks after a few months. after that I have never invested another cent in poker. started playing live with money i'd withdrawn from online, and also expanded to multiple sites. current bankroll >$1,000,000

Re:repetitive question regarding foxwoods/belaggio
Op, you're exactly right about bellagio. Unless someone calls you on it, they never ID. Very few casinos in vegas do. For cash outs of more than a few thousand they might ask for a players card or ID.

Re:Who 'runs' the best
don't mention theo ****'in tran to me... after busting him 8th in the LAPC, i run into him in the first tourny i play at the WSOP, event #2. 29 people left, I have 250,000. a little below avg. he has 750,000, one of the chip leaders. we get it all in preflop. my AA, vs his 9-10s. he flops a flush to bust me. he makes final table. next tourny i play, event #7. i run into him again. 3 tables left. he is chip leader with 600,000. i am 2nd in chips with 400,000. he bets from utg +1 or so. i call from middle position with 55. flop comes 5s5x4s. i slow play my hand. turn comes 3 spades, ...

Re:FTP Pro's
lol, man i wish. you onlt get that 10M if you won a seat on FT, which nobody on the final table did. most of the people on the final table bought in themselves, which i thought was kinda funny. given that this tournament is famous for almost everyone having won an online sat to get in.

thanks for the tips of barcelona. sounds great :) and about my interview "skills", i gotta say, screw off. i've heard a couple of comments about them, and i gotta say i don't care. have you ever done an interview at 5am after playing for 16 hours on the 7th day of a tournament' the interviewer was lucky i was still even concious. am i an actor or a politician' no. therefore who gives a rats ass how good my interview skills are.

Re:What to do with a 3 month break...
well even though i'm a "big stack" at 19 million, i still only have 1/7 of the chips. so i think a 7th or 8th place finish is definetely possible. if i had to bet on myself i'd say 7th place, or 1st place... somehow i just can't picture myself getting 3rd or 4th. well ok, i took a lot of different advice people gave, so here goes. 1. relax for a month, and get in shape 2. hire some good people to handle marketing, finances, etc. 3. take a vacation (2 weeks in spain before ept event) 4. do some big tournaments: WPT at the bike, EPT barcelona, WSOPE, EPT london, WPT ...

Re:What to do with a 3 month break...
mixed feelings. cons - decreases my chances to win. the amateurs at the final table will improve their play much more than the pros. plus gives them 3 months to think about it, so they won't be freaking out when the 9 million gets on the line. pros - increased publicity (a mixed blessing at best), which leads to increased sponsorship money, which is the only real benefit in my mind

good thing about coming from a small town is that every person i knew as a kid has heard about this. so no gloating phone calls are necessary. tempting though... and ya ya, i do have an agent working on whoring me out. i told him that i want it full nascar style. logos from head to foot.
