30 mile radius.............c'mon man. The legal concept is that the interpretation cannot go beyond "the four corners of the page". Would the employer really want to test (in court or arbitration) the meaning of language they had a hand in drafting to benefit themselves' I'd think not. If they meant something more specific it's their duty to spell it out more precisely.

Can my employer do this?
I've worked in situations where employees have been overpaid for a variety of reasons and employers consistently want their money back. They will however allow you to repay in installments or in your case may wait and deduct it from next months bonus. In the end it's their money and they won't just let it slide. Just peace out and roll with it.

You can buy Silver Eagles anywhere. Understand, they are one full ounce of .999 pure silver and as such are pegged at the list price of Comex silver whenever the market is open. Don't even bother trying to buy pristine Silver Eagles and obtain a premium, you have to know your shit. Silver coins (1964 or before) are 90% silver but weigh only .77 of an ounce. I'm guessing that your folks had to be talking at a volume where the Bartender had to make a decision and chose to ask them to lower the volume. He wouldn't do that without cause. Rather than ask us, maybe ask them how loud they were' In any event, the restaurant wasn't being disrespectful. I think you're getting all butt hurt here without knowing all the facts. If anything, go see the restaurant Manager and get an explanation. If I were him at minimum next year the Anniversary Dinner is on the house.

Its been a while since we had a Pet Peeves thread
The wide variety of volumes when TV goes to several commercials tilts me so bad. Also, repeating a phone number 3 or more times back to back on the radio puts my temper into outer orbit. These advertisers IMMEDIATELY go to my never buy from list.

anyone go to yard/estate sales?
I've been to more than a few Estate Sales. In my experience they are fairly depressing knowing that in order to need to sell everything people amass over a lifetime something bad has happened. Usually as was stated above, the death of a family member prompts survivors to go through everything first then offer up the remainder to the public. If you really need used furniture and the like the prices are reasonable. Collectibles, coins stamps, Lladro and Hummel knick-knacks and such are tough to find but worth buying when you find them. There are three ways I can think of to make money going forward and have a life in the process. Assuming you can educate yourself over the next six months using government grants etc. they are: 1) There is and will continue to be great demand for individuals capable of assisting small businesses get found on the web. The companies currently doing this are highly priced and not very effective.
