Re:Why play stars cash game?
It's because playing cash games is all about making money. Even if u factor in the RB i get from sites like tilt, and (formerly UB, before they shut out KY players) the games on stars are so weak that I have a much higher expectation there than anywhere else. Anyone believing the games are harder on stars than elsewhere needs to let me know where elsewhere is... I'd like to make a trip to elsewhere.

Re:LOCKED OUT IN KENTUCKY
Lefty, I appreciate the insight and advice you've given. Still exploring all my options... but the things you've suggested sound good, and pretty much in line with some other advice I've been given. The thing that really sucks the worst about all this shit is that it isn't the Kentucky Legislature that is doing this, it's the judiciary. The governor made an end run around the lawmakers and used that increasingly insidious way to get unpopular shit done, Judicial Activism. Just find a judge with your belief system, and then u can just say Fuck the Voter. Will keep youall ...

LOCKED OUT IN KENTUCKY
The court decision in Franklin Circuit Court today here in Kentucky has left me really uncertain as to my future playing poker. After talking to a friend, he suggested that it could be possible to set up a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to a friend's computer in another state. Considering I know how to turn on my computer, and login to poker websites, but not much else, I'd like some advice from someone more savvy than myself as to what can be done if this decision is enforced. Whether a VPN would be possible to set up,and any technical challenges to doing this. If there would be a ...

Re(7): Ultimatebet.com problem
I had some asshole last week steal 425 out of my ub acct... transfers made for $25 to "ship to holla" and then a few hours later to "CrazyE_8s" or something like that for $400. They left around 100 bucks in my acct. Anyone have any insight as to why they wouldn't have cleaned me out... i.e. they couldn't see the balance because they weren't logged in' Anyone seen any of these names before and know if maybe they are associated with the guy mentioned above'

Re(1): UB... WTF IS WRONG WITH U ???
I consider UB my home site, i play full time... I hate the changes that have taken place recently... killing the guarantees is a great way to kill the site. Having noone to call when you have a problem is frustrating as hell. Please listen up UB, I don't like the other sites, would hate having to go elsewhere.

Re(2): Another Omaha Situation/Discussion
I play plo almost exclusively, and i play full time... and most of the advice so far has been wrong.... In plo a cardinal rule is to never get broke with a baby "naked" nut str8. By betting the pot on the flop, you're leaving yourself wide open to get reraised by a set and flush draw/same str8 with str8 redraws/ same str8 with str8 and flush redraws/ or just a wrap and flush draw. Against the set and flush draw, you'd have about 40% pot equity... he hits 60% of the time. Against the same str8 and redraws, you're drawing dead to only half of a baby pot, which you may have to put your entire ...

Re(2): Newbie to P5's but not to the game
Play low until you build up substantial, play only a couple sites, don't EVER lose more than 1/4 of your bankroll in a 24 hour period, regardless of the size of your roll, or how good a game is. There is always another day.

TranquilChaos is da MAN
You know your buddy has really gotten "there", "there" being that place in the poker community many of us would like to obtain, when Cardplayer Magazine has his chip count listed under "Notable Players Still in Tournament" section. After making his second wpt final earlier this spring, and running so deep in this event, it really seems almost a given that within the next year or so Devin Porter will be a household name in those that follow our great past-time on TV. Name one other player who's game has blown up so big, so damn quick... I'm out here in Vegas now... if u know of one, lemme ...

Keep The Faith
To those of us that play often, especially those of us that have no other source of income, it seems at times we can do nothing right. For three weeks, I was unable to make a hand I could win a meaningful pot with, but flopped the nuts only to be drawn out on numerous times. During times like these it's important to remember that if we won all the time, soon noone would play with us. I'm happy to add that I began ending my losing streak on Saturday morning, winning Party's $5 rebuy for $1650; on Monday, came in second in the midnight $30 rebuy for $4225; and just now finished 3rd in the same ...

Re(10): Say what you want about Mike Matusow..this was classy...
I met mike in Aruba, and he was actually one of the nicest and most personable pros that I spoke to. I met him as he arrived, late, the day he was playing, in the lobby, and after his beat. Both times, he was very cordial, and both times he had a great excuse not to be. By the way, his beat was AK vs AJ all in pre, not against AQ. As to him being a degenerate gambler, who really gives a f'ck' I know I really could care less. Seems to me that's his own business, and so long as he isn't responsible for providing you with an income, or doesn't owe you money, don't see any point on you being ...

Re(1): Blackjack on PartyPoker
I love playing poker, don't care a whole lot for gambling... however sitting in a game, waiting for slow players, etc, I found myself clicking on the little BJ logo. After dropping about a hundred yesterday, this morning, I opened program files, Party Poker... went to Black Jack folder and dropped the whole thing in recycle bin. Party still works fine. BJ shortcut no longer active.

4 people see a flop, you have AA, you're going broke. Seem like 3 callers is magic number. With so much in front of you vs how much in pot, just can't see going broke with AA on that flop.

Re(1): Todd ( NSXT ) no class at the table
Many of you have said that NSXT's comment was obviously just being sarcastic. I would be inclined to agree with you regarding his initial comment. However, after making the comment he continued to chant "Donk, Donk, Donk," while Barry was signing the book. Judging from the look on Devon's face, he obviously wasn't in on the joke. By the way, Barry Greenstein took that book to the table every day, planning to sign it and give it to whomever busted him out of the tournament. To all those who think it's all just a joke, put yourself in Devon's shoes... he just busted one of the best players in ...
