Re(1): CardRoom.com - what's going on ?
The site is still parked and the client still unresponsive. Can't believe I'm the only one who uses this site - it shares traffic with PokerRoom too, I believe. Looks at the moment like they've just shut down operations and taken our money. No emails or anything from the site - so have to assume the worst. Jamie.

CardRoom.com - what's going on ?
Does anyone else here use ' Yesterday the client stopped working but the web version still worked fine. Now today the site is no longer available - it's shown as 'parked'. So there's no way to connect, to play, to withdraw. Have they gone bust with our money ' Anyone know what's happened ' Jamie.

'Wanker' works too. I find that enormously useful at times. Jamie.

Excellent idea, LordXixor! Might I suggest you first treat her to 'The Theory of Poker' and then move her on to the Harrington series ;-) Jamie.

You can usually find a cash game running at a local casino, no problem. I know our local Stanley has 'em most nights. Jamie.

Ha now you see if you lived in the UK you'd not have that horrible tax problem with your poker winnings! And there's no evil senator trying to destroy all your fun either ;-)

Re(2): The ULTIMATE SECRET to winning at poker!
You know what, this is the #1 reason I've had bad losses. I've found myself feeling ill - so I take a day off work and instead stay at home. I could watch TV but oh no... let's have a game of poker instead. BIG mistake. Every single time I've been in this situation it's ended in disaster without exception! Sick and/or tired - just go to sleep - it's cheaper! Jamie.

Re(2): Will any other site ever come close to pokerstars?
Doesn't work. I tried wearing one on Stars for a week and my KJo still kept losing to crap. Wearing foil pants now; reckon that might just work.

"I think the min buy-in strategy can be insanely effective, and it's kind of sick how easy it was to double up within a VERY brief period of time." What IS the min buy in strategy '!

YES. I'm up on every other site I play on - but Stars money just goes. Can't figure it out either. Weird as hell. Jamie.

Re(4): mass slaughter in UB 200k FT. edit: congrats Lykhan_Khan.
I was on Lykan's table last night (when that d*ck Polishnuts was giving him a hard time) and he had a wicked run... I was shortstacked, pushed all in and he called saying he was tired... I think I had AK and he had KQ so I won that hand leaving him short stacked... then ensued three or four straight hands of madness... Lykan pushing to try to bomb out but hitting everything! Was hilarious... it's like "I'm feeling so tired I can hardly see my screen... *push*"... {hits a gutshot, doubles up}... it was crazy! BTW... Lykan, there's no way you thought up that "Shut up or I'll crack your skull ...

Re(1): Why do people act completely wrong???
I've come across this before also - it was on Full Tilt - wonder if it was the same guy! Anyway, I can kinda give as good (ok, better) as I get and I fired back abuse so bad I had to hide the screen when someone walked in... yeah THAT bad! So he replies in the chat box, after a particularly vicious barrage... "Hahaha you do the same as me!" So I replied "Yeah - so shall we call it quits and just play '" He says "Ok" And we played from that point on with no abuse - and even some good naturedness... So it was clearly a weak attempt at tilting his opponent. I guess some people, it works ...

Illegal ' Don't think so. Some sites might not like it - and it might be against their T&C but illegal in the wider sense of the word - no way! Jamie.

I'm kinda banned from Party unfortunately, due to my early experiments with bots in FL before I took to NL and discovered it's more fun actually playing it yourself! Wonder if they'll let a reformed character back on ' Probably not! Jamie.

Best site for European timezone MTT's ?
I currently play FullTilt and while I like the site, my day job can't take the strain of my sitting up through the night playing the MTT's - they usually start the decent events at 6pm US time at the earliest, at least during the week - which means they don't start until 11pm UK time so it's a 4am finish. Nasty! So... can anyone recommend a good site to play which offers good MTT's at more Euro-amenable times ' Somewhere with a decent number of players, good sized tournaments that I can play and still crawl at least half-conscious in to work the next day '! Thanks! Jamie.
