Full Tilt and Pokerstars Domains Seized I am more nervous about the FBI message on PS and FTP...I am not sure if our gov has ever taken a .com before in this manner. Internet > poker and needs to be protected even if it doesn't feel like that right now. Our rights have been so violated from 2006-present I am kind of shocked. Whats more upsetting is that we really can't do a thing about it. Posted in: Poker Sites |

COICA - the internet policing bill... Lol that must have been infuriating dealing with Napster. For awhile there that was THE way to get music...TBH I can 100% see that something needs to be done to help keep people from getting their creative products stolen. The biggest issue is that a vast majority of the pirating sites are not on US soil so there isnt much we can do. However, I think introducing a blacklist and giving the power of that to our gov is a mistake. Could you imagine if the internet became as big of a pain in the ass as flying and dealing with TSA' I really don't have alternatives to offer but I really doubt any ... Posted in: Off Topic |

COICA - the internet policing bill... I'm going to try and word this carefully because I have a ton of respect for you and everything your doing at TPE. I would be a little shocked to find out that your friends have lost their jobs largely to piracy. Apart from almost all media industry being a saturated market. Our economy has been shit and pretty much so for the the past 10 years. I think everyone in the entrainment biz has been suffering and needing to make cutbacks (like everywhere else). No, I was stating that I work in the film industry but know that wont be enough qualification for budo09's large resume of Harvard ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Examples of fair use include commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching, library archiving and scholarship. COICA - the internet policing bill... What else were you expecting' I hope you didn't expect me to take you seriously...Whats ironic is that the video you just posted would have to be taken down by p5s if the bill in this very thread would pass lol. Just music' I think that everyone should be paid for their hard work and dedication. However, I believe this should be taken care of in a different fashion then just giving the power to the governments. Posted in: Off Topic |

COICA - the internet policing bill... OK...I will rephrase the question...Why does the United States of America government want to step in and protect the rights of media conglomerates, software developers, and artists' Yeah and it sucks! We should be trying to come up with a way to stop it. Posted in: Off Topic |

COICA - the internet policing bill... Its not about protecting the right to steal content. Think about it...Our gov is a business like any other. Why would they care about the profit margins of media companies, software developers, or artists' The only thing I do know is that the answer is NOT "because its the right thing to do". COICA - the internet policing bill... But you will post on the topic anyways' Seems to make sense...Please quote ANY of my posts where I say I steal media or am worried about where to get it from. Ty you delusional nutbag for completely making that up though! Its pretty apparent you wouldn't have heard about any of this since you live in your own world creating context that doesn't exist... I'm well aware its YOU"RE. However I dont give a shit because this is a forum. People, stop focusing on me and focus your attentions to where its needed. COICA - the internet policing bill... Honestly open your eyes man...Not one thing I posted had anything to do with conspiracy. I pointed to a web article that posts facts and gave you the name of a bill that could seriously pass. I then posted my concerns and thoughts on it. Last I checked I can/should do that on forums...Maybe instead of coming after me (for reasons I dont know) you should do a little thinking for yourself and read the entire bill. I also loved how you tried to minimize the reasons for me posting to "some dude who wants to get his music". I will always be able to get whatever it is I need off of the internet. ... COICA - the internet policing bill... This bill basically allows the gov to police the internet to aid in the fight against the spread of pirated material. If you have been paying attention at all to how our gov operates in the USA. Then you will 100% understand that they won't just try to "help the media industry". The internet is really the last completely free speech platform we have and as time goes on I get the sense that govs all over the world hate that. My goal would be to combat this act in a much larger way then just calling my representative. Which in reality is about as worthless as a picketing protest... Posted in: Off Topic |

Do most pros hate poker and the lifestyle around it? Its tough to add anything that wasn't already wonderfully put by both AJK and Mufasa007 (post more). Without jumping too much into my life story...I started playing caused I loved the game but then had to figure out a way to make money other then McD's (although its always an option). I went pro WAY to early and live a very modest lifestyle because of it. Do I hate it' NOPE. Luckily I live in a state where the cost of living is cheap...For everyone who thinks you have to be a baller or you fail is dead wrong. I wouldn't say I grind out paycheck to paycheck but its pretty close. Was it the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Annie Duke's open letter to PS about Daniel N. Your comment was "how come people" stating that this applies to everyone in the world. Which as an example, I think a lot of people would get pissed to see any caucasian from any background drop the "N" word in Africa. As far as censorship in America, yeah, I agree with you on that. However, even though women are technically equal here in the USA doesn't mean they are treated so. I have never been to Norway but from my experiences in life any culture from any region in the world acts like Men > Women. And no, fuck HBO and any other television network. I avoid the tube like a plague! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Annie Duke's open letter to PS about Daniel N. You don't honestly believe this do you' I mean maybe your frame of reference allows you to not become upset over words but plenty of people from many different backgrounds do take offence to certain things and rightfully so. I really don't need to go down the list either its pretty common sense. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

stars 3$ rebuy 180 mans Also keep in mind if you want to track your progress (ROI etc) that sharkscope will come back with highly exaggerated numbers. Reason is they don't take any rebuys or add ons into account so you have to multiply everything by .3 to get an estimate (unless you never rebuy or add). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Annie Duke's open letter to PS about Daniel N. Wow...lots of haters ITT. No one in any type of professional environment should call anyone anything and TBH her questions to PS are perfectly rational. Does PS care' No...Should they care' Probably not. They are the biggest poker room on the planet and the opinions of either player realistically means dick to their business. However, I think the point she brings up about other high profile athletes and the image of sportsmanship is pretty important especially since its lacks heavily in poker. I don't think all of us need to "lets hug it out bitch" but something like it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
