Travelling to Usa need Advice please. you could play on bovada, merge, Cake/Lock, or ACR while you are here. I doubt you have accounts on any of those being from the UK but you could create them and your cashouts will be much faster than ours over here if its going to a UK bank acct. Also you should definitely check out Atlantic City for some live action as has been suggested Posted in: Poker Community |

Fold the full house on the river? merge network This spot is really gross I do think you can find a fold here but I really dont know. I think the range you are putting him on is pretty spot on, also like manch said I think his bluffing here is >0%, maybe he could sometimes bluff here with the 7h in his hand but your hand is almost face up as a boat as played so im not sure but i do think it is >0% but a very small percent. I mean I would really struggle to lay this down here although we definitely think we are beat a good percentage of the time. Like you said you still have 37% against this range and are getting like 2.04-1 so you only ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

LHE Coach Hey just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good LHE coach, for both 6 max and FR. Ive been beating the mid stakes online and just want someone that can sweat me a couple sessions and help me plug some leaks and get ready to move up to the bigger games. Any info that anyone has is appreciated, Thanks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Set yourself a line, How many FT's in 1 month I play on bovada now and I dont think im overestimating at all when I say 60 in a month is completely reasonable, of course this is due to the tiny field sizes on bovada where most tournies are about the size of a 180 man on stars. On the bigger sites like stars the number redice threw out of 5 seems pretty reasonable to me. Posted in: Poker Community |

Mini brag/Final table strategy On bovada if you are playing the full schedule if you arent making 2 or 3 final tables a day on average you are doing it wrong so you can expect alot of deep runs cause the fields are super short and you can play about 25 tournies a day, more if you play some of the lower value non gaurentees... So if you are good do expect to keep getting deep consistently Posted in: Poker Discussion |

What to do on the river? Also commenting on what spikeycloud said about blocking I think this is a terrible play. First of all if we check to him you say we cant call a shove in which he may be bluffing. The whole idea of checking the riv is to let him bluff if we check the river we are DEFINITELY calling a shove. A blocking bet doesnt accomplish anything if we block here and he is a good player he can sometimes bluff shove us here although we still have to call that most of the time(didnt really look at the hand history and such but you said you only have 60% pot bet left) in fact if we make a small bet here its ... Mini brag/Final table strategy Lol folding AK in this spot is laughable lets run some numbers for all you trying to defend folding by using flawed numbers and math. 2k/4k and if its FT bubble im assuming its 5 handed so there is 8k in the pot before any action add another 55k from the shoves takes us up to 63k it costs you 30k to call meaning you are getting exactly 2.1-1. To make a profitable call getting 2.1-1 you need 32.3% equity. Now lets range these shoves I ran it giving the UTG(also the HJ at a 5 handed table) shover a range of 22+,Ax,K9s+,KJo+,QJs,QJo,JTs,T9s,98s I gave the button an iso range of ... Is this shove the right play? Shove isnt a bad play by any means like tyson said its unexploitable and definitely a +cEV play, but also like has been said it may not be the best play in this spot but clearly its not a bad play to just shove. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

No idea here, call or fold??? Interesting spot the villian is 42/13 which seems like he isnt opening a very wide range seems like he plays his medium strength hands passively and only opens the top of his range. I agree his line is very confusing but my best guess is he opened an AJ or AQ type hand his donk on the flop is very odd but seems like he is a bad player, lifetime -16% ROI which means alot of his lines might not make too much sense. I just dont see him showing up with air here too often which is all you can really beat I dont see him playing his smaller pairs or a random 8 this way. It seems to me like the ... Help with squeeze spot, ITM I dont like the advice of flatting here or a non jam 3b, you have 9M so you are pretty much in shove or fold mode. I think this is a pretty good spot to squeeze if the UTG opener has shown any tendency to open light. If the opener is a decent player he can be opening very wide here with the stack sizes at this table. I would guess that UTG may be opening as much as 25 or 30%. The flatters range can be pretty wide here too with stacks as they are I would imagine this player to be flatting with all sorts of pairs, suited connectors and broadway hands. I think its safe to remove QQ+, AK from the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

People overvalue AK even on high limits Basically what tyson and grinder said its completely situational and the play you witnessed may or may not have been a good play based on the many factors they already discussed. I would really like to see how you came up with the claim that AK is a 19% favorite over most hands(or what you even mean by most hands)... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

20 players left in $750G freezeout at Merge, love facing this spots...now what? You said he was 26/6 yet raising the button 85% of the time if that were true then his only raises ever at the table would have to come from the button which doesnt seem likely. Still jamming pre is likely the play but you gotta take a little caution when someone who is playing 26/6 opens a pot... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Anyone else notice how the siezure notices threaten us players as well... "For persons engaged in the business of betting or wagering, it is also a federal crime to knowingly accept, in connection with the participation of another person in unlawful Internet gambling, credit, electronic fund transfers, or checks" We are all pretty much guilty of that. I like how they are doing this under the guise of protecting players while simultaneously threatening all of us with criminal prosecution. I say come and fucking get me then I want my day in court.... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Moving to Canada, please offer your advice Question about my specific situation, I am a US citizen born here however when I was 9 my dad was relocated to Canada. St. Catherines, Ontario to be specific, we lived there for 2.5 years and I attended two different elementary schools there. Would it be any easier for me to establish Canadian residency because of this fact than it would be for other American citizens' Posted in: Poker Community |

***Immigration Policies Thread*** I have read this thread and didnt really see an answer to this question in there, well actually I have two. First applies to my specific situation, I am a US citizen , but as a child my dad was relocated to Canada for 2.5 years I lived in Ontario and attended elementary school there. We were there on a work visa I believe I was only 9 years old so not sure all the details, just wondering if this fact would make it easier for me to become a Canadian resident' Second, seen a few say in this thread that puerto rico can still play on stars and ftp and that as a US citizen we are able to go ...
