Re:A SNG Grinder's Study of Variance
The 1 month time horizon for going broke is meaningless. You should calculate your real RoR without a time horizon. That will give you a much better idea of proper bankroll management. As it stands, 50 buy ins has an 8.3% RoR long term (ignoring rakeback). If you think that is adequate, then I wish you well [:D]

Re(1): Is my brother possibly good here?
I remember this hand very well and would have folded T8 there as well.

Re(1): Good ROI for 4.40 180
IMO, over a large sample, 25-50% = Decent 50-75% = Good 75-100% = Very Good 100+% = You should be playing higher level games

Re(1): Any difference between $2/4, $3/6 LIMIT?
1/2 live in FL plays like .05/.10 online. You should play a lower limit online before you move up. You should think about making sure you can beat a game before thinking about moving up.

Re(1): My stats compare well against most good MTT players, but I can't win the big one, beyond frustrating
Play more. Complain less.

Re(1): Rules will be this
I can probably play 100 or so of these next month. If there are 2 other good players, I'll be happy to join their team. My ROI is 100+% in these over a significant sample. Also, what does the +$5 go to' --- 1/16 Thanks for the offers, but I have changed my mind. These challenges clearly favor the insanely high volume teams, so there is no reason for me to donate. A much better system would be to limit it to the 1st 100 tourneys a person plays, although the work in verifying the results would be much more difficult.
