I am still waiting on a Premium Bank Wire I requested on November 1. I have been back and forth with support on this, and still have not received my funds in my account nor on the site.

Agree... Firaldo had a cool leaderboard set up for PTP members but I think custom leaderboards disappeared with the site update

Re:Is this where i jinx myself? FT CL Midnight Madness!
Great job man! Now that you've padded your roll a bit: 1. Don't cash any out. 2. If you do, not very much. 3. Now you can afford to not chop next time :) 4. Because you are not jumping up to higher buy ins for at least a week!

Re:standard 3 betting hands
Rush Poker. No table dynamics. I would add speculative hands to my 3-bet range if the original raise is from LP. The later position, the more hands I add. This assumes both of us are 60bb+ deep.

Re:Had to get it off my chest...(loong post)
I'll go against the current a little bit, 100 buy ins is too nitty for your play. I also have a family, a job, and a multi-year online poker hobby. For fields over 45, I aim for a 40 buy in rule. For fields under that, a 25 buy in rule. The way to make this work is to stick to it in a downswing, and always mix a number of buy ins in one session. Today, I played a session including a $4.40 MTT and the $2^3, and the $33 15K guarantee, with my roll at $1400ish. If you find yourself in a downswing for several sessions, that's when you need to: drop your number of tables mix in some ...

Re:Feelings on Hustling?
Scenario: working for a couple of months at a place, couple of guys in the office invite me to a private game after hours. They are very bad. I leave with a profit, and actually softplay them so I don't win more than 2x or 3x my buy in. I stopped going to the game after the third time.

Re:SnG Collusion??
That's OK, you just play it out normally in those cases, and split winnings. In this scenario, one of you is guaranteed to make the second round. And I say it's collusion too.

Re:Cake synchronizing breaks
Great answer, thanks for the link. I hadn't considered the impact on the greater poker economy, and you bring up good points about keeping the fish fed. But paying more spots does not do much to help this problem; in the end, we need the players to be depositing more than the rake and fees that are paid each day, or the economy shrinks. Payout structures can't help us with that.

Re:Cake synchronizing breaks
The tournament I joined as a synch break beta test paid 10/57. Pretty good considering the structures we've seen recently.

Re:different kind of bankroll question
I suggest you stake a few players you know are good who play at like 5% of your roll to reduce variance and to help them start playing higher. Also, put a good chunk of it into mutual funds while the market is recovering. I believe Doc Sands talked about this in his well. wrt how to move up responsibly, I'm still learning and am watching this thread for good ideas. :)

Re:Revamped steps system
I like it except the Step 6a is a DON. Should just throw in the Super Tuesday and/or the big Wednesday one here to reduce the number of people who place.

Re:What are the most pressing issues for improving Cake?
I like Cake more and more, but I definitely would play more if a few things changed: 1. Better payout structures, especially in tournaments that have satellites! Please! 2. More non-turbo freezeouts. Many many more. These are my favorite. :) 3. Steps to the bigger dailies, just like your Sunday steps. I think these would sell like crazy. 4. The software handles my flaky internet connection poorly. I often have to exit each table individually, unregister for any SnG that has not started, then exit the software and restart it to get it to notice that my internet connection came back. ...

Re:why cant i just say no !?!?
Honestly there are a couple of meta-game skills you should learn that will help you lose less when you're down and win more when you're up. I learned some of these skills before I ever deposited by playing play chips on FTP cash tables and scheduled MTT (multi table tournaments). 1. Bankroll Management. I built my roll up over 2 million play chips before I allowed myself to deposit $50. Since you can reload so easily, you can bust your roll many times before you learn how not to bust it. 2. Tilt Control. I made the mistake of playing bigger to "win it back" with play ...

Re:Lets be honest
I play the same stakes, but slightly later (10pm-1am server time). I'd like to see a few more guaranteed tourneys at the $11-$33 level, the 23:00 $33 is great but only a $2.20 and a $77 at midnight' imho put a $5^3 at 22:15 and a $15+1.50 at midnight (or just add a guarantee to the $22 that's already there).

Re:does anyone ever fold KK pre here?????????????
Honestly, I have never been able to put an opponent on one specific hand yet, especially when it's a random and I have no reads. No play is that obvious. And I have never folded KK preflop with 20BB late in a tournament, even if I strongly suspected AA. And yes, I've busted in many of those situations. :) I guess you could possibly fold this if you had a read or some stats on the guy or previous encounters. But even then, if I knew I could get you to fold KK preflop for that big a pot/stack ratio, I'd min-raise you with 9-2. Sorry for the smartass tone earlier.

If anybody has that tight a range here they are very exploitable. Please reply if you only do this with AA, and PM me before you join any tournaments.

haha I thought you meant the fact that they are 10-handed instead of 9-handed for their tournaments. You're right, the larger minimum window size is annoying.

Why' Lee, you guys are setting yourselves apart with your good customer service and your stand against HUDs and their ilk. Being different is not necessarily bad. However, it seems to take me forever to earn FPPs and my deposit bonus playing tournaments, compared to other sites. Why is that' Thanks for fixing the problem, looking forward to the nightly guarantees again :)
