Re(2): what do u do here? This is so counter-productive it's making me cross-eyed. 1) He won't call us with hands we don't beat, other than AK/AQs (maybe) 2) If we flat here, a few things can happen. 2a) someone squeezes, thus giving us information on UTG's strength. 2b) allows us to get value from the UTG raiser being in position. If the flop comes unders, we get a c/bet out of them and then stuff it there, if you're range on them is hands we beat. If the flop comes with an ace or a king, we can float the flop to a reasonable bet and see what they do on the turn. If they check turn to us, we take it down there ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): what do u do here? Ok, so you're saying when you RR pre, you're not folidng to a shove (or did say, IIRC) If we take the flop and it does come unders, we flat and see our turn. He comes out firing again... we fold and lose the same amount; fair enough. Now, if we take the flop and it comes out AK3... we lose what we put in PF, knowing we're behind and dump it here with out eating the c/bet and without getting it in PF and stacking off to AK/AK/KQ. imo, flatting pre is the safest route, DUCY' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): what do u do here? False. You can flatcall the c/bet with position to see if he keeps firing. 9/10 they won't fire twice unless you're beat. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): what do u do here? Meh, I might just fold here. You really don't know where you're at, and it will be quite expensive to find out. I don't think I'd raise here becuase I'm not a fan of building big pots PF with JJ. I guess the best play would be to flatcall and see a flop. If the flop comes with some overs, you can get away cheap; instead of getting it in PF vs AK/AQ and losing a race. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Thoughts about UTG Steals... I personally am not a huge fan of UTG steals. I do throw it in at times, but very rarely. I was just curious what you guys thought about this play, when it's most effective, and both the reasons why it's a +ev play, and for the others why it's spewy. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(7): UFC fans? Thoughts on Brock Lesner? Never said that. But Mir is going to have to be dodgeing alot of bombs in order to get ahold of a super tech submission. I really think Lesnar has an advantage on his feet, too. I wouldn't be surprised if Brock kept this standing and just banged. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(4): UFC fans? Thoughts on Brock Lesner? +1 I really think Lesnar will win this with a solid ground and pound. There is no chance Mir defends against his takedown. ZERO FUCKING PERCENT! Lesnar will maul Mir, beat him up a lot, and knock him out on the ground. I would bet money Lesnar is training MUCH harder for this fight than Mir, and frankly I think he just want's it more. Re(5): UFC fans? Thoughts on Brock Lesner? Sylvia has garbage for standup. His last 2 fights before Couture, he was bad. All he did was use his massive reach to keep opponents away and scrape out a decision. As for Lesnars standup, I'll wait to determine. I personally wrestled all through school, and know wrestlers have a freakish strength that most who just train don't have. But Lesnar is a freak. If Bas Rutton can at least teach him to defend the basic submissions well, he'll destroy Mir. Should be an exciting fight, no matter what Mir shows up. Posted in: Off Topic |

If he's LAG, his range is just about ATC...or maybe I'm just a spew monkey :- EDIT: I flat the flop to see if he slows down on the turn. I dunp turn. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Final table/ 7 left/ hand question Why repop for ~1/3 or more of your stack when you're saying you're folding to a shove' I'm pretty sure 9s+ still get in PF and you're folding to a their shove with SOOOOOOO much extra in the middle. Aside form that, a shove looks weak and you'll get called lighter than you might imagine. Heros tend to come out at FTs. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
