Vegas Advice Needed My neice and her hubby are hoping to come from the UK to visit Vegas next month. They hope to spend about 5 days in Vegas and want to do all touristy things and see the sights. They want a hotel on the strip and have been advised to try Planet Hollywood. They are not looking to find a comfortable hotel without paying silly prices. Any advice on this hotel or any other you think they would enjoy would be grately appreciated please. Posted in: Off Topic |

How many FT's have you made in one day or session? I'm very much a recreational player and maybe only play once a week, but recently I played 3 consecutive tournies in 11 days where I came 4th 1st and 3rd in omaha with smallest field being 552 entries. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

David Williams a PokerStar Pro... I just noticed David Williams ugly mug on the PokerStars main page. When did they sign up this low life' Did you see him on PokerStars tv in The Big Game week 2 when he deliberatly overcalled his hand to try and make his opponent fold the winner. When Doyle asked if he would have kept the pot if the guy had folded he said yes. He even admitted delibaratly overcalling it. To me thats plain cheating! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

What's your play OT ... (fairly long , but not really) This is an easier mistake to make than you think. The first time I visited USA I went to New York. I stayed in a hotel in Manhatton, the New York Statler. I was in the bar one afternoon when a blonde bird started chatting me up. I thought, 'my lucks in here'. Anyway, it was a tranny and I never had a clue. I thought I would never get caught out by one of these, but I did. I was ready to take her/him up to my room when another person in the bar who knew this person had a small arguement with my soon to be conquest. What they were argueing about made me realise that this was a bloke! I just ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Dumbest chop ever? Actually, I've just realised that the host made a mistake with the numbers that Kiaser didn't pick up on, and just accepted the deal. Kiaser had 23 million chips and redsfan had 47 million. So how does 23 million chips convert to 88 cents more than 2nd place when you are down to two players' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Dumbest chop ever? I hope this isn't a repost, but I was just watching the replay of Stars Sunday Million. When they got down to two players, they did a chop. Now 1st paid $214,804 and 2nd paid $175,750 officially, but the lowest in chips, (Kiaser) agreed to take $175,750 and 88 cents. So he was agreeing on taking 88 cents more than the offical second place that he was already guarenteed! The other player, (redsfan) got $184,804 and 12 cents. The official 1st place was $214,804 so if Kiaser had gone on to win the tourney he would have got $175,750 and 88 cents plus the extra $30k giving him $9k less than the ... Should they ban the horns at World Cup? I recently found out that the repetitive annoying noise in the stadiums isn't vuvuzelas. It's actually the collective sound of 75,000 African stomachs rumbling. Posted in: Off Topic |

new home game Make sure you have a set of rules printed up, especially if you're running tourneys. Make sure the rules fair but firm, as the person running the games will be called upon to make rulings. If the rules are fair you will gain the players respect and this will stop most arguements. Re:lol collusion bubble of scoop-10k satty "Def. collusion but stars won't be able to prove shit." I dont think this is true going on past history. If Stars look into it and find villain has passed a premium hand when on SB vs BB then they will act on it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Horrible live ruling or just standard everywhere??? I use to run touries in my city and the ruling we would have used was the SB and BB get the option to call or raise. If they both decide to pass, the turn card stays as it would make no difference to UTG+1 and the button as they have already acted. But if the SB or BB decide to call or raise, then we take the turn card and shuffle it into the deck and deal a new turn and then river if needed. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Seat belt laws. 'Why is it that people accept laws which prevent injury to others but they dont accept laws that prevent injury to themselves' Perhaps the law should state that anyone transporting a minor is responsible for the well being of the minor and therefore negligent if the minor is injured in their vehicle while not wearing a seat belt' This is a law already in the UK. Its the drivers responsibility to make sure any minors in the car is belted up. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Seat belt laws. When I was 16 I was a passenger in a car that was being driven recklessly. Being of that age, we thought it was fun. The driver lost control of the car and smashed into a stone wall. I spent the next 7 months in hospital with multipal injuries including 2 broken hips, a broken leg, a stretched siatic nerve, dislocated shoulder, and a smashed skull. It was touch and go for me for a couple of weeks as to whether I would survive or not. the result was that I would live the rest of my life as a disabled person. I use a wheelchair full time now as my legs gave up just over a year ago. The driver ... Posted in: Off Topic |
