Libertyyyyy It's pretty dumb I think to put a limit on how big the sugary beverage can be but I really don't understand why they don't have more options for diet drinks. Most places have diet coke or unsweetened iced tea. Then they have 9 other options all with sugar. They should at least have a diet sprite or diet gingerale option. Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. Ya it's a fine line when it comes to conversations with guests. Who knows what the context of the conversation was. If she overheard something and offered her two cents without being part of the conversation it is one thing but if they were asking her opinion and she gave it then it's kind of a dick move. Serious tipping thread. Where is my sense of entitlement' I expect to get paid for working' I don't dictate how much I make. And if that is literally all you do and what you make after tipping out who does most of the work then ya I agree you are overpaid. Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. Also I work with rookies sometimes and one of the biggest struggles I see in the learning curve is knowledge of drinks and food. If it's busy and some lady wants to test your knowledge about the menu and you don't know shit you kinda look like an idiot. If you have to go back and find someone to answer a question it is time consuming and cuts into service. I had a kid the other day ask me what a safari and tonic was lol. I was like did he he say Bombay'' And he goes ya. smh. He is obviously not making as much as the rest of us. Your presentation is everything and knowing answers to questions ... Serious tipping thread. When did I say it was rough' When did I ever complain about what I do. All I did was post what you asked me. But if people want to keep putting words in my mouth so be it. And you are a fucking clown if you work in the industry and are trying to pile on with all the cool kids. Do you think you are overpaid' I have had a few different jobs some harder than others and obviously some were better money than others. Right now I happen to be at the best one I ever had. People who never worked in the industry before have misconceptions about how easy the job is. It would be a nice prop bet to give ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. Ummm. I'd be willing to bet that that I expedite ALL of my own food. Apps, entrees and desserts. And if someone dropped a tray of entrees that would have been worth 250 dollars. The restaurant isn't getting that money so it would obviously cost them that much. And then they would have to remake all of that shit so in a sense it would actually cost them more. Not to mention the fact that the table would have to wait for the entrees to be remade which would be a disaster. And FWK I have no problem with you and haven't said anything to you in probably over a year so ya you do need to get over ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. No you're basically just being a douchebag because of some preconceived opinion you have of me which is fine. I never once said omg serving is so difficult so don't put words in my mouth please. Somebody asked what a typical busy shift was like and I explained it. It is harder than it looks and I am not a huge fan of standing up and running around for 9 hours at a time with very little break but it comes with the territory. If it is such easy money maybe some of you should stop knocking it and go do it. Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. LOL. When did I ever complain about my job' I just said I wouldn't do it for 10/hr that is my choice... I enjoy dining out and good service makes it that much better for me. I don't want my server making the same money as my half retarded cashier at Macys during holiday season. You can make the argument for various professions. LOL at trying to start an efight about it though. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day pal. Most likely posting from whatever you do for work and are probably overpaid for too. Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. You fuckin serious bro' Calm down. Plumbers can make over 100/hr. I don't hear anyone complaining about that. And FWK tell us about some of the real jobs you have held please. Hmmm. Since when was I complaining about my job' But if you want to hear about a typical busy 9 hour shift. First off you are on your feet the whole time every shift with very little break time. There is more heavy lifting than you think. Have you ever carried a tray with 8 entrees on it and stuff hanging off the sides because you needed to make it one trip' Have you ever carried it upstairs while being insanely busy ... Serious tipping thread. I would hope they are not paying my gas repairman 10/hr. Your argument isn't making a lot of sense. If you think waiters and waitresses should make shit money then fine you're entitled to that opinion. But most normal people in America don't mind tipping and appreciate good service. All I am saying is I wouldn't do the job for shit money. And when I go out to eat I want someone to care about whether or not I have a good dining experience. Plain and simple once again. Serious tipping thread. Well if I am making shit money it won't be my job very long to wait on people. Plain and simple. And I don't give a fuck if my gas repairman is pissed off because he is not impacting my day. He either does his job correctly or he doesn't. If I fuck up in my job I don't expect a great tip. I am assuming you don't go out to eat very often. If I am out to eat to enjoy myself and have SOMEONE SERVE me and CLEAN UP after me I expect to pay for it by tipping. Most normal people do. When you call your plumber because you can't fix something and he comes in and fixes it in like 5 minutes and ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. I would never give less money back as change that is absurd. Tons of times I have given back a little more because I didn't want to deal with pennies. People appreciate that kind of stuff. You can't round up or round down because that is what you think is right. Never short someone on their change. Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. He did ask pretty sure I mentioned that above. He wrote on the bill(not the credit card receipt) and he said that is tip ok. And I said something like ok thank you just to let you know it is customary to pay 15 to 20 percent for quality service(just like our check presenter says in 5 languages...) And he ended up leaving me close to 18 percent so he understood what I was saying and certainly didn't seem offended. Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. If you read what I said. The guy was the only one at the table who spoke english like half good. We have check presenters that also explain what is customary. International guests pay for service differently in some of their countries. They don't mind paying for service they just don't know what the custom is in some instances. It's not like I waited on 5 hoodlums at Dave and Busters or something and was like yo homie that 5 you left me on a hunnert was wack. Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. Jeez it is so funny how mad people get about the subject. Again all I did was explain what was customary I didn't chase the guy out the door and force him to give me more money lol. When the 4 old miserable american cunts gave me 10 on 210 for no good reason except they were looking for free pie and I couldn't deliver I knew better than to say anything. And as far as not going into a convenience store anymore because they didn't stand by the quality of a one dollar candy bar... That's their problem not mine. I didn't argue about it I simply chose to take my business elsewhere. LOL at ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Serious tipping thread. So today I waited on a nice couple from Israel. Had a great conversation. I made a minor mistake by not knowing the soup of the day lol. So instead of going back and saying woops sorry I brought him a taste of what the actual soup was. He decided against it. I had no idea what to expect for a tip. He gave me 20 on 90. I also waited on 5 Asians tonite. They were soooo nice. Ordered so much food. Bill was 400. The guy wrote 33 on the bill. I politely explained to him what was customary and he said oh ok. And he made it 70. A few weeks ago I had a man from Saudi Arabia cut into my break big ... Posted in: Off Topic |

I'll be honest I wanted to leave a buck lol but it didn't feel right. Doubt I will ever pay 14 for a margarita ever again. I got no problem paying that much and up for a good scotch.
