Playing a level down
I am trying to play a level down and see how I can adapt. ATM I am paying the 10+1 6 max on FTP. Not that a $10 buyin is below me, but this is not a tourn I usually play. I have noticed so far that the play is just horrible. I have lost huge hands with semi bluffs than should not even be shown down. On the other hand, big bets on drawing boards get called when most players think you are looking to hit. Anyone else think it is good to bet big with a good hand when there is an obv draw, so the lesser players will call with marginal hands if they think you are on said draw' Wish I had a HH ready ...

I am making a big bet here every time. He's calling the flop in this tourn with any diamond Q+ trying to hit. You are almost always in good shape. Your have to be willing to go broke with top set.

I'm prob just repeating, but I only read the OP. When shit goes bad I return to my TAG SNG play for a while. Somethimes it is necessary to pretend there the a SNG madness going on and focus on those for a while. I usually play a few big sessions on SNG's, get some confidnce, make a little money, and return to my normal routine. I also like micro HU as a break. It is very different gets me thinking on a different level. GL OP

A good answer. Active means playing a lot of hands. Has made some big bluff, shown some big hands, and also made some bad plays. He is involved in almost 70% of flops at this point. But if he raises and get called he usually does not continue. An odd spot on the river no matter the read.
