IMO you're going about this the wrong way. You want to maximize your EV when you play poker, avoiding dbl grtd week cannot be the best way to maximize EV. IF you're worried about variance, lower your abi or comb the lobby a little more closely. There are some sick values (especially Monday and Wednesday) during dbl guaranteed week because everyone is too busy with 24 tables. I found the $69+6 20k Daily Doubles to be much softer than normal last guaranteed week. Fire 4 bullets each night and you have a great shot of getting top 3 in a lower variance than normal situation. Is rebuying at the start of an MTT a bad bet?
Very good post by Riskky. JJ's question really only applies to average and slightly above average professionals who want to play 100R and above, AND who want to play it so often that they are putting in a significant sample. If your just taking a shot, take the rebuy, exploit the players who aren't familiar with you and try to bink. If you play below 100r (and some of the 50r), you probably have a large enough edge to justify rebuying initially (rebuying after you bust your first 3k stack is a much tougher question for mid stakes grinders, IMO). Petition to ultimate bet to slightly alter structure of hsmtts.
Agree with everything except the Wednesday tourneys (80k Sniper and 150k $1050). The 80k is already too fast and I think the structure for the 150k given its only 150-180 people is awesome. I def don't mind being up Wednesday night one tabling, but all the other days are way too late/boring. Add antes early or get rid of 100/200 no ante level.

TT vs Squeeze, easy call? Whats ur calling range here?
We're going to be getting about 1.5 to 1 on the call when BB shoves, so I think 88+, Ajs+, Aqo+ is my calling range for a lot of players here. Maybe drop down to A10s+, Ajo+ (or lower) for opponents who like to squeeze. Kqs would be tough, but I think I would be 3betting that hand.

3b/f JJ 50BB deep???
It's fairly important that you are capable of flatting a single raise with 88-AA with this particular stack size at this point in the tourney. It takes a bit of planning and table awareness, and you have to make a plan for each person as to how light you are willing to call a squeeze, but I think you'll find that the mid-late levels of tourneys are easier when you flat with a balanced range.

Today's FTP Update
Although I've had moderate success at poker, TBH I don't play FTOPS because I think I have a massive edge, but I do believe I have some equity. My perception is that my equity will be greatly decreased by guys like JY, STAM, AJK, DEAN having a bunch of entries. It seems reasonable think that other casual players (fish) will be dissuaded by this perception as well... As a casual MTT donator the change of some FTOPS events to multi-entry makes the investment of $$$$$$$$$$$ necessary to play these events so high that I wouldn't even think of playing them on top of my work schedule. ITM bubble of 75 buy 24kg ftp
Preflop I ~3x reraise OOP, your play isn't bad but it does make post flop more awkward when we flop overs. On the turn I usually x/f to opponents who are checking down hands with showdown value like A10, KQ, Ax. If my opponent seems to try and win every pot he's checked to this seems like a great board to bluff catch, so I'm x/c'ing. This opponent sounds like an x/f, but I'd have to have more history.

BPO is so much worse than a regular Sunday. Bodog advertising/marketing needs to wake up. Most people who play $50+ tourneys on your site ONLY have money there for the Sunday 100k. Don't get rid of it trying to jump on the FTOPS/WCOOP/UBOC wagon. Your site isn't big enough and some regs wont even bother with a 15k added.

A Concept I Need Help With
The AK example is incorrect. In $2 tourneys and $1000 tourneys you should be betting AK on K74 rainbow. MAYBE the turn is up for discussion as to checking or betting for max value, but that depends on opponent, depth of stacks, and your image. However, let's say you just flat call a raise with AK in position early in a tourney and the board comes K74r. When facing a cbet against thinking opponents, a raise will often isolate your opponent's range down to a few hands you beat and a few you don't. Moment betting anything other than AJ and 33 on the turn seems like he'd be seriously over-rep'd and would never be confident when called. So why would he bet' In this situation against a competent player I usually see a river, but moment is pretty tight and doesn't make many mistakes, so although AQhh is a one combo possibility, and very optimistically A9, I think a fold is best play.
