To call or re raise preflop AA in mid tages of tourny hey all I'm just wanting to get some more perspective on how you should play a certain hand in the mid stage of MTT. This hand has cme up both live and online MTT. I've got an M o about 9 and chip stack is just below the avg I get dealt AA in late position a player in early position makes a standard 3x raise preflop. Here you have two options, I elect to call preflop and wait to re raise the CBET, th other option is to re raise pre. Well the flop came out JQ8 two spades only initial raiser and I left now he makes a CBET an I re raise 3x committing about half my chips mabe just over, ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

To Fold or Not To Fold Pocket AA's Leading 100k with 9 Players remaining An Interesting situation occured this sunday in the 100k euro tournament at Paradise Poker. Setting the scene; approx 1.6million chips in play, 9 players remain, My stack 320,000 and leading by a about 40k and only a few hands into the final table. Blinds are at 4k/8k with antes, I get dealt AA UTG and raise to 20k and get re raised to 50k by player next to me who is in 2nd place with just under 300k in chips everyone folds around to me and here I pushed all in here hoping to take down the pot uncontested but I get called by KK and get my AA cracked on river by a straight.
