Is PokerXFactor still a very good training site? Have only ever used cardrunners and only watched cash videos but thought I might try PokerXFactor for SNG and MTT. I know when it started out it was well regarded - is this still the case or are others better'' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Where's best to go for Spring Break for a couple of Scots Me and a few mates have been wanting to come to the States for a Spring Break for a few years and are thinking of finally doing it this year. Where would you suggest is the best place to go and will it still be easy for some Scottish lads to root some fit college birds as we will obviously know nobody. (Pretty sure it will be no prob if we're wearing kilts) cheers guys Posted in: Off Topic |

FTP Accounts Im about to move house so was thinking that I could close my FTP account and open a new one from my new address with rakeback. If I have a new email address and use a different card to deposit do you think I would get away with this' I desperately want rakeback! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Hello From Britain So was I mate - the standard is pretty dreadful isnt it though it does become quite a crapshoot towards the end. Wish I had known as it would have been good to speak to a fellow pocketfiver. Think I might have got you to laydown AQ on a A xx 66 board. Posted in: Off Topic |

Mucking hands at showdown I was playing a tourney at my local casino recently when the following happened - dont play much live but dont recall seeing thison the few occasions Ive played in Vegas. Guy called my bet on the river and flipped his hand over which beat me so I mucked, however the rest of the table asked the dealer to show my hand which he did. When I said that I had the right to muck they all shouted me down and said it was a showdown so you have to show. I dont think this is correct, am I wrong'' Surely even if he calls and doesnt turn over his hand I can either flip over my hand for a showdown or ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Bankroll Managemnet and Tilt Issues - Help and advice needed I have a massive problem playing cards in that if I lose a couple of buy ins where I have made bad plays that I know I shouldnt have done I go on tilt by stepping up limits and often putting my whole roll or half a roll on a table or min buy in at 5/10 or 10/20 and repeatedly lose 5 or 6 shots. This is absolutely crucifying me as I know I could easily beat smaller games like .50/1 and 1/2 and build a good roll but dont seem to have the necessary character to grind. I had a 25k roll just before WSOP and dropped 15k in a night having lost just a couple of buyins at 3/6 - I then proceeded to ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Urgent WSOP registration help needed I am off to Vegas next week for the first week of the series and am from the UK. However today I just found this in a cardplayer article, "Players will have to present their Social Security number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) upon registration. This info in now required by the IRS, thanks to a new tax law targeting poker tournaments." There is absolutely no mention of this in the the tourney rules which just states that ID is needed on registration and that any taxes are the responsibilty of the player. Also from what I can gather on the IRS website you ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
