Sorry but as ive said before anytime you put a black man, a noose, and the word rope together there is going to be some implication of lynching, even if that was not the primary point of posting the picture. Lets say Lefty meant the post in the way you are refering to (which I doubt despite his back peddling), he should have been smart enough to know the picture would still be perceived as incredibly offensive as it is sure to bring up thoughts of lynching, as many in this thread have reacted to.

Rockefeller hates the choice too, and at least from what ive seen in the news Panetta might have a tough confirmation fight, hopefully. I guess Obama wanted Hagel, which would have been awesome, but unsurprisingly Hagel was not interested.

Yeah thats not funny Lefty. And I agree with you Pre that it seems like sort of a "shame on you CIA" appointment, it is a given that Panetta is great at agency management, but there were far more qualified candidates from within the agency.

I was waiting for someone else to make a post about this, but I guess i'll do it... Seriously Leon Panetta for Director of the Central Intelligence Agency' I understand that the head of the CIA is sort of like being the vice-principal after the restructuring of our intel community post PATRIOT Act but Panetta has absolutely no experience in this field, and this pick makes no sense. I know Panetta has been an outspoken critic of torture and wiretaps, but how does that qualify him as the next head of the CIA' Color me disappointed for the first time in the transition period by a selection ...

Make sure you dont sign up for any sort of service that has a mandatory contract beyond what I am assuming is your 1 year lease. For instance I am pretty sure DirecTV has an 18 month contract, so if you happen to move out after a year you dont want to be stuck with 6 months of service that you cant use or have to pay for entirely on your own.

In Washington the WSP has a ton of unmarked cars of all variety on the roads, it really sucks. But keep in mind Washington State is like the state patrol capital of the country, in fact a stretch of I-5 in my home town is the most ticketed stretch of highway in the country, so all the unmarked cars might be an anomaly.

Oh yeah make up a "chore list." Like maybe on one week you do the dishes and clean the kitchen, and your roomie cleans the living room and bathroom, etc. An alternative method to the dishes is whoever didnt cook cleans the dishes, assuming you eat together at least sometimes.. Basically if your responsibilities are set in stone then it will save you the trouble of one of you feeling like the other isnt pulling their weight around the house. ahh this game is fun, reliving past room mate nightmares.

Buy separate groceries, I mean you can share stuff like butter, condiments, and other small stuff, but for the majority of goods shop seperately. I had a roomie once who was generally a nice guy, but he never fucking bought groceries, and I generally tended to get pretty nice food and he would eat it all the fucking time, caused major problems. Just shop for yourself, even label stuff if you have to.
