Re:Hand from the Fifty-Fifty How is this the easiest check/fold ever' He is the pre-flop raiser w/ an overpair. He is behind QQ-AA and 99. Easy c-bet, but I think $1,800 is a bit much. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:who check folds KK here? Bet/fold I think is better here. The pot is 800ish and you started the hand w/ 2,970. As played when he bets that much you have to fold obv. The thing is you are going to get bet off the best hand so much here. The 2 guys behind you could be betting any Q, any J, any spade. On second thought it looks like you got 3 callers, so check/fold looks a lot closer. Depending on the guys in the pot w/ you if you think they are capable of semi-bluff raising you in a multi-way pot c/f>b/f. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:OMG i got fired today what should I do???? If you enjoy playing poker, and are able to put in the hours and not tilt go for it. You have more than an adequate bankroll, and depending on what your winrate or ROI is, you should be able to do alright. Of course sales jobs are a dime a dozen, and if you were top salesman you should be able to find another decent job w/ a good commission structure. So it comes down to do you want to play poker or do sales. Btw if you were selling cell phones/plans, there are way better sales jobs out there anyway, so to be honest this is probalby a blessing in disguise. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:What line should I take here? Bet the flop, bet the turn(smallish), check behind on the river. You could also check behind on the turn, but then you may face a big river bet. So kind of a reverse blocking/value bet if you bet smallish on the turn(prolly 1/3 to 1/2 pot). But you definitely have to c-bet that flop, I mean if you don't c-bet that flop what do you c-bet' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Email from FTP about last night.. I was playing in a cash and got disconnected so I wasn't really affected as far as losing equity or anything like that. I'm not sure how it was my ISP though, as I opened up my internet explorer to check p5's to see if others were experiencing the same thing and the thread was already a page and a half long. So I'm pretty sure it had to do with a little more than my or everyone else's individual ISP. All my other internet connectivity worked fine except for Full Tilt. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:1/2 Live game - what do you do? What is there to think about' You should be trying to get it all in. Whether it be bet about half her stack, on the flop and then get the rest in on the turn. Or if you think she'll bluff off if you check behind on the flop, then you can proceed that way. Without any reads on her being aggressive/passive, I would make a smallish c-bet on the flop, and hope she comes over the top. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Cash games Vs Sit n goes ....Sit n goes FTW? Well comparing, 2 tables of .5/1 to 6 tables of 60$ SNG's is no comparison. Obviously go w/ SNG's. However, w/ your bankroll you should be able to play 1/2 NL and play at least 2 tables. Now we're getting closer. If you are able to multi-table 4 tables of 1/2 then I think now you are about even, and you can possibly make more money w/ less variance. This assumes you're equally good at both SNG's and Cash games. I'm starting to switch more of my play over cash games, even though I still spend more time playing SNG's. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Do You Prefer Full Ring or 6-Handed and Why? Used to be 9 handed, because that was what I was more familiar/comfortable with. Now that I have been playing 6 max, for the last couple of months prefer 6 max, because it is faster and you get to play more hands. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Like WTF? Can you fold here? $55 1 table sng on Stars I originally misread your stack size. I thought that you had around 1500 also. Anyhow you have to call 1370 more, and are getting ridiculous pot odds. I think if you fold then it will be pretty much between you and whoever wins the pot. TT is unlikely to hold w/ 4 way action. Calling is not bad, but I think that you could wait for a better spot, cause you're likely going to be giving the guy that you're going to be battling for 1st extra chips. Re:Do you agree with my line here??? Like Celtic said squeeze pre-flop. You have a guy in mp raise, how do you put him on AA/KK' You said that he is 12/8 but this is only the 2nd level, assuming that you played with him a lot. If you re-raise pre, he still has to be wary of the guy who flatted him. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:checks@fulltiltpoker.com I got the e-mail that the check might bounce 2 days ago. Today I got another e-mail telling me that, they concluded that my check would not be affected. I still haven't received the check yet, but I only requested it a couple of days ago. They also got the withdrawal by check method working again today. Looks like the problem is solved. You can see how many times you made each rank, as well as your current ftp points for that day. I think by Monday the bonus should be up, and you will receive an e-mail to let you know how to clear it. But at least you will be able to calculate what your bonus will be. Re:First ever post...1/2 NL How would you play this? Good post Vinny VT... Equally as good post TheConArtist. I think this is read dependent (obv), does villian bet/raise draws' If no, then I think on flop he could have KT-KQ, mid pair, 22 or 44 very small chance KK. I like shoving flop vs. a lot of 1/2 players, however, if they were tight I would probably call flop re-raise, but then most likely be done with the hand on the turn. TheConArtist has a good point in that there are only 3 hands that beat you, and you can't just automatically put someone on a set.... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
