Turn decision 215 50k gtd ft Not a huge fan of the 3b pre. Button raise can be perceived as weak and opens up the4b scenerio. Flat pre with position opens your range up and u can exploit his cbet with the power of stacks. Good/tough villians are gonna be flattin u a bunch here just to exploit rigid boards where theyre able to c/r light or float weak pairs. Prefer keepin my range wide and playin a small passive pot. Plus a flat can bring one of the blinds along where u can further exploit the cbet with protection even if villian is competent the power of stacks prob stops them from continuing with air. Playing KKs in a $100 buyin live Bounty Tournament. In reality I'm prob just flatting the 9bb shove and hoping for action from the blinds. The bounties aren't worth trying to isolate people pre with your nutted range. Call the 900, your hand is somewhat underreped and maybe could get one pair hands to stack off in an inflated pot. Think you could get away from this? Who cares if 6s fold pre to a shove, that's being results oriented. With the stack sizes a flat in position is fine. The more I look at this a jam is fine but I thibk a flats prob the route I take more often. We are deep enough to just flat and fold missed boards, no need to stack off here with k hi. He might have aj beat here a bunch of times but I thibk it's better to define ourselves here and sorta narrow his range. If we got a stack where if we 3bto say 7kish if he 4bs us he's gotta put in the 4th that's like 1/4 his stack and isn't really gonna do it unless he's nutted. What to do about a backing situation gone bad Shitty situation. Most likely scenerio is he is skimming and not telling the truth. I would confront him with your knowledge and ask him how he thinks you should deal with the situation. Just tell him you don't feel right giving him the full amount with knowledge that he is skimming and lying to you. I think you need to give him some $ even though he lied because some of his $ was lost in poker under the presumption you are staking. Tell him with all the information you've got you only feel comfortable giving back x amount of money. Make him aware that he is the one that put you in this spot. ... Remaining professional. The challenges. Your stories. I got lucky enough to get a seat in the ept main last year. Started with 30k, after 4 hours I had 55k. Some middle aged guy who was super bad and opened from the button with 45k. I flatted j10cc from the bb flop was j102 with the 2c. I check raise his cbet, turn is 3c, I lead he raises, I shove, he calls. He shows aqcc. He says 'well lets see how good I run'. Obv this buyin is way out of my comfort zone I literally closed my eyes as they peeled the river. Guy slams his fist on the table as the 4c hits the river. I honestly felt like puking.
