Hiking and backpacking
Ive section hiked about 200 miles on the AT in the GA, NC, VA parts. Sounds like you know what you are getting into and best of luck with the thru hike. My buddy did it and it changed his life. Do you use a water filter or do you use the drops' Just make sure you have a good team that can send you supplies at certain stops along the way and dont try to over due it from the start. No real recommendations on the ultra light gear, just wanted to say best wishes and GL!

Yea, I find it tough to understand what the characters are saying at times. I was really excited to start this show once I saw the long trailer and I have been pretty disappointed. Just too many side stories going on for me. I am a huge Hoffman fan but not really liking his character in this. Just alot of dull moments that make me lose interest easily. Ive watched every ep so far and will continue to watch rest of season in hopes of some major things about to surface. I hope.

Official 2012 OT Workout Crew Thread
Had spent enough $ at nurtishop in the past year the owner gave me some IBCAAs. Said to take them pre/post workout, 2 scoops since im >200lbs. Been working out for 10 yrs hard and never taken this, only take a 40g protein post work out shake and some fish oils in the AM. Anyone with any knowledge on this sup' good/ bad reviews wanted. Thanks. I took it once already before a metcon CF wod and could not tell any difference.

How do you pass a drug test these days?
1. stop smoking now obv. 2. 2-3 days before test eat a nice steak/red meat for lunch and dinner 3. 12hrs before test pop 6 81mg asprin, 6 hrs before take another 2-4 4. 4 hrs before drink 64oz of water/ gatoraide and take 100mg B2 5. 3 hrs before, repeat step 4. 6. starting at 2 hrs before you are going in to piss drink 16oz of water every 15 minutes up until you take test. 7 make sure you take half a piss before you piss in the cup, dont get the sample from the start. 8. pass test Done this multiple times after only 5 days notice and havent had a positive result to date. Boycott the Venetian?
Venetian runs the best mid stakes tournament series (VDSE) hands down. Doubt anyone can really disagree. Structure, dealers, tournament staff, massage girls, cocktail girls, the list goes on. In my experience with many casinos in Vegas, Venetian poker room is just a step above every room and its not even really close. Yea the guy prob should not have said that, but it will not stop me from spending 75% of my tournament poker playing in their poker room.

Did you not read the OP' I had been playing with these guys since start of the tourny and hadnt 3 bet them one time or gotten out of line once. Im sure they both had nit/rock on me. That has to mean something right' I obv didnt play the hand well, not saying I did, but if Im playing with a young kid who hasnt 3bet me once all day much less played about 5 hands all day Im gonna give the guy some credit.

Ok thank you. That is what I was wanting to hear cause I was kicking my self all week for how the hand played. He had AJ and called the rvr. I didnt even look at my cards till the turn and had 73o.

Ok im gonna try and remember every detail of this hand cause it has been bugging me. In vegas last week playing Venetians and couple others and this is the only hand I keep thinking about. $560 VDSE 200/400 50ante(maybe 25) level 6 My stack:24k have been mega card dead/tight, only 3bet one time, I 15bb shoved QQ in sb after some limps and won vs KT. Played my hand face up when i c/r trips in BB. UTG stack ~25-28k young kid, seems competent, hasnt got out of line except maybe one pot were he min raised early mp with 74s and won small pot on rvr. HJ stack ~ 15k young kid, seems solid, ...

Not sure about that Aria $200 but I would recommend the VDSE 340+560s. Best tournaments in town for under 1k and I dont think that is even debatable. I played the 235 Rio last week and it turns into the turbo fiddy after about the 2nd break. My buddy FT'd it and CL had 30bb if that helps. Prizepool gets huge though and ton of tragic players. GL

Besides the mouths hand w JJ there, I thought the Eric Sidel hand where he 3bet A6o, got poped to around 6k i think then he made it 17kish when the guy said before the inital re raise he only had 30k and Sidel folded to the shove'''' Obv Sidel is a world class player but I thought that was pretty intresting way to play that hand. What is the standard amount to tip in a 1/2 game when you rake in a $20 pot' $50' $100' 200+' Should you be tipping everytime you win a $15-30 hand on the flop' Thanks P.S. I witnesses a guy raise utg to $15 and it folded around and he tipped dealer $4. I laughed.

SNG Grinders-BRM help please
To grind the 50s and feel comfortable I would have atleast 3200-3500 BR. Even the best sng players go on 30 BI downswings. On easier sites 60-65 buy in might be on the high end, but if you never want to go broke I would def keep that many. Gonzo- if you are doing this to make money and not just a hobby, I would def not be playing 50 turbos w a 2k roll. When I was grinding 30s I always kept a 2k roll after I got rolling. 2k/55= 36 buy ins. That is def not enough to be playing turbos on. I always enjoy having a nice cushion on my roll, so when that downswing comes ( and they will) you dont ...
