Re:Warning: Jason Ho (code7654321) coaching scam He sold me a guide for $2000 saying that I could make 10BB/100 easily with it. The guide was totally different from my normal wining, Tag/Nit 13/10 style. Instead, he had me playing a 22/20 style with much more 3Betting. this ^^^^^ As soon as someone thinks you can follow a guide to beat todays NL200+ games for 10BB/100 I know hes probably deluded. That is unless its as thick as the doomsday book. Oh yeah, if it was me I would hunt this guy down for anything over 5k and go medival Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:scandal at ongame tower gaming Its a warning about Tower, maybe they have some internal problems. The Ongame Network as a whole however is a diffefferent story, no way these guys are going busto. Also looks to me that the OP isnt 100% reliable. I play at Betsafe and have a good relationship with the affiliate manager there, also never had any problems personally. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:SNG ADVICE, This cant be normal I think your average ROI should be defined after a sample of this size and 5/6% is a little low for 18 mans imo. An average DON player can manage this ROI and the payout structure is about as flat as it gets. More details would be nice, how many tables do you play and do you put the time in with sit and go wiz' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Poker site with weakest SNG players? Ok this is a 100% total no brainer, at this present time Ongame has the easiest stts. Just be prepared for the never ending problems with there software which is what keeps the majority of the grinders away Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Cash - Mass Multitabling or Minimal Tables with great focus?? I've been a member at Bluefirepoker for about 6 months, for those unfamiliar its Phil Galfonds site and I think its close to being the #1 cash game training site on the net. I've watched 90% of the content and follow the blogs and articles on a daily basis. From what i've seen none of the pro's on there advocate mass multi-table grinding and say improvement is paramount. I think it comes down to this: If you want to earn average/decent money for the next 1/2 years max get your game to a decent level, improve your multi-table skills and beat >$1/$2 NL for a decent ... Fulltilt Rackback V Pokerstars Playerpoints Hi, I've spent most of my time in the past playing on Euro sites but have accounts for both Stars and Tilt (27% rakeback) I play 6 max NL cash and with the volume I play would expect to reach Supernova. What are the plus points for each system and which is better value' Also does the basic standard of ring game players differ between the two sites' From the little time I have spent on these sites I would say Tilt has a better standard but my conclusions have been drawn from a very low sample as I have never really played here Thanks in advance:) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:.5/.10 NL Holdem cash games...? When I switched to online cash first thing I did was join Bluefirepoker and i've been improving ever since. I have played an ultra LAG style ever since I started coming up as I wanted to face as many marginal situations as possible to help me improve faster which is what I would advise. If however you just want to beat upto 25NL I would play an ABC standard TAG type of game and ill post some pointers below: Increase your value bet sizes as players will call down very light. Do not run 2/3 barrel bluffs against players that do not fold. Identify ultra tight players and increase your ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Cash game hand advice... Ok firstly, please do not ever make a raise or bet to find out where you are in a hand. There are only three reasons you should ever make a bet and that is: For value As a bluff For protection The 3 bet pre is obv a value bet and needs to be increased no matter what level you are playing at. At this level I would increase my average bet size even more as you can take these guys to value town so easily. I think a C bet on the flop would be classed as a bet for protection/value (from lower pps/flush draw) I could never class this bet as a bluff as we are folding out all hands we beat and all ... Re:tournements vs cashgame can u crush mtts but be a fish at cashgame???? guess yes... So there is more room to be creative 30bbs deep than 100/200bbs deep'' If you want to be a successful cash game player you will probably need to change your game completely. My advice would be to join a site that specialises in cash games, I am a member of Blurefirepoker and recommend it highley. I would then start at 10NL/20NL no matter what level you are comfortable at an put what you learn into practice before moving up. Thinking that you can jump straight into 200NL+ and beat the game straight away is unlikely Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Stt Grinding Question, would be cool if Jennifear or other decent player could reply:) Ok so I just got a decent rakeback deal with Ipoker, 33% minimum and increases to 45% max if I acheive the highest VIP level also $600 deposit bonus and $600 monthly reload. I roughly worked this out as another +25% rakeback I'm pretty familiar to the site and have played on diffrent skins over the past 3 years. My question is regarding the Jackpot stts and the Rio Jackpots in particular. I would usually never even consider grinding these as the juice is so high but with my new deal i'm getting a substantial reduction plus due to higher rake there are hardly any grinders in these and ... TWIN MONITOR SETUP......PLEASE HELP!! Ok so i've never done this before so bare with me:) I've just gone and brought an identical monitor to the one I am using with the intention of running them as one unit. I've also brought a video splitter also, connected everything up and hit a brick wall. Basically both monitors are showing identical displays, i've gone into the graphics settings on Vista but can't find anything. I know I'm probably missing something simple but any advice would be very much appreciated:) John Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Switching to PL Omaha I've been playing with the idea of switching to PL Omaha ring games for a while now. I would describe my standard as intermediate but want to take my game to the next level. What educational methods would everyone recommend' I know training sites are the way to go but which provide the best Omaha material' Also i'll be using the Omaha version of tracker and would also like to know how I should be interpreting stats etc. Thanks in advance:) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Entire 2009 SNG Profits Gone........Help. Ok, a 30 buy in swing isn't uncommon and happens to us all. From your last post it looks like your making the right decisions so my advice would be to play through it (horrible I know) I would probably put the 18 mans on fulltilt down to your state of mind, I would say take a day or two to do something relaxing then start again but its the weekend so probably best to play till Monday or start next Friday. Goodluck and keep us posted :) Posted in: Bad Beats |
