Class Action Complaint Filed Against Full Tilt Poker I read the complaint. It seems well conceived and pretty fact-specific. The facts in the complaint appear to be accurate (based upon what is in the public domain) and show solid understanding of the players and the acts. The law firm behind it holds itself out as a class action boutique firm, and likely the firm is a player who knows what they are doing. One of the main plaintiffs is Todd Terry, a person with solid credentials in the poker world and a former lawyer in the Northeast. Sorry folks. This all looks like a good thing. I hope (and think) that we will get our money back many ... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Foxwoods big field in the MegaStacks Monday's mega stack was a great structure, a good tournament and a very fair quality of play. If the main event is run anywhere as well it would seem to be a good value for East coasters who aren't playing Borgata. The 240 modified deep stack turbo today was an absolute disaster IMO. The turnout was a tad weak, but the bigger problem was that they removed levels early on that just made it too fast too soon. I played a lot of turbos online and this was much closer to the feel of an online turbo than the typical turbo found at a live event. Otherwise they ran a pretty good event. Posted in: Live Poker |

early double final table bubbling hand. wwyd on the turn? based on the read bet 20k OTT, fold to the checkraise, check behind most rivers and read river bets based upon sizing. This gets value from the draws and occasional small pairs and scares better tens/overpairs into checking nearly every river. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

10$ rebuy 1r+1a This is a trivial fold based upon this action for so many reasons. First of which is because I'm an old nit. But the other guy to act is a very close second. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Flop the nuts, lead out or slow play??? This is the perfect board to lead. If he has anything you can get a lot of value and if he doesn't have anything he will fold and probably not call a bet even if he improves. And now that I scrolled up, another +1 for Boandero's read and I like Rivv's line. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

AA early in 100k ftp six max You should 3-bet (even without antes)- you did. You should c-bet the flop with the plan of getting it in- you did. Villain has a PSB on the turn so you should c/f if you can precisely put him on a jack or better and you cannot and should not do that. So you should be b/c the turn and your sizing really should be whatever gets him to call since you are no longer folding once you bet the turn. Mission accomplished with your heavy turn bet and putting him in OTR. Add on top that nobody folds anything in 6-max , either pre- or post-flop, and you beat a large part of his range throughout. So I ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Withdrawing on ftp Another month, so I had to send Full Tilt another e-mail, which read as follows: Ok. It is almost a month since your last non-responsive e-mail. I still have yet to receive any payment for the following transaction: Amount: $1000.00 Transfer Reference: 07725542 Bank Account Number: ***3447 Date Approved: 31st January As you can see this transaction was approved in JANUARY. I am single and unmarried. Any chance I can get this small transfer placed either in my bank account or my full tilt account before my children are old enough to play on your website' I await your response. And if it ... 88 vs. AJ Just ship it pre-flop. As played, it isn't the best place to stop and go (call pre-flop to automatically shove any flop, if you don't know) since you are never pushing him off anything but ace rag and worse pocket pairs. I might check with the intention of never folding, but what you did was fine. The only way to play this hand wrong was folding. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Flopped trips, get re-raised on turn, thoughts? I would call and call most rivers at this level. I think you are being results oriented. If you flat pre-flop (which is fine), hit a flop this hard (and relatively safe) and get action like this, go broke. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

MSNL- ~ 50 left (and deep) in the DEG Hey all. Villain was relatively new to the table. Villain is a random and a novice based on OPR (not necessarily a bad player, just had >50 games on Stars, and mostly Midstakes). I was active, not in a crazy way, but a comfortable one. I am pretty sure most of my opens and c-bets went uncontested while this guy was at the table. In an ordinary tourney IMO this is an easy 3-ball ship on the flop or turn and nothing really to discuss. However, we are more than 55bbs deep in the best structured non-major online tournament against a BB villain who literally can have anything and may not have a ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

FTP premium wire temp suspended NJ- Bank Transfer and Paper Check only. Oh and if you want to trade sob stories I have been waiting for $1000 from Tilt since Dec and a premium bank wire since January. I had a check bounce, three paper checks get credited back to my account and you know the premium bank wire dance. They also refuse to re-credit my account once more in the amount of the wire, OR PROVIDE ANY REASONABLE EXPLANATION FOR ANY OF THIS, which is the most unacceptable move of all. Sick hand 22 left $5 MET 8.5k I'm calling because: Villain took a really weird line/betsizing to have a king; We beat 55 now and kings are rare; Villain can turn a pp/value hood flat into a bluff because you took a line where you never have a king and you shouldn't have a naked 9 in a 3-bet pot too often; and People click buttons in a 5 dollar multi.; Villain is going to have it sometimes but he played it in a way where he shouldn't have it. And I'm cool with no c-bet. I like a delayed c-bet anyway when you have this kind of middling value with a hand where you 3-bet pre- as a bluff. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

TPTK deepstacked early in MFTOPS #22 facing absurd overshove on turn I played against this guy before. Villain is the type that will play value, draws and worse value almost the same way in this spot. With that info I think it is a trivial, though risky call. With no reads on a random in an mftops I think a fold is perfectly fine. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Is this a good spot to 3bet shove fairly light at a Final Table? I would never, ever do this against anyone competent or perceived as such. But based upon your read, the buy-in and the fact that it is a country-based site I think you can get away with it. Love the screen name, too. EDIT: I also assume that all of the money in a 3 Euro tourney is in the top 3 and that you really don't care about ICM considerations like you would in a decent midstakes tourney. Ghosting scandal! There is obviously more going on than just haters hating, or an "old" story. The "other" site's thread has a lot of Russian players (including Ivan Demidov) going after Max Katz and airing multi-tiered grievances with a few people supporting Katz, his story and his character. At the same time Katz responded to a few of the posts in a way that seems plausible, yet incomplete. Katz showed surprising candor, admitting that he started a ghosting business and advertised it on Russian boards but says it was a thing of the past once he was told by Stars to stop. The people making the accusations ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

2nd pair facing a weird and large river lead I hate folding here. But this is such a bizarre spot for him to bluff, and I assume we need him to be bluffing for us to call. I would presume you barrel your monsters, your missed ax, and combo hands. So once this river hits you should have sd value almost 100% of the time. Villain should know bluffing sucks because his line looks "level one bluffy" and he has to shove you off some serious value hands for it to be a good play. You are actually lighter than I would expect if I was in villain's shoes. He also has a lot less hands to bluff with that get to this river. I mean does villain ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Facing a min 5bet with QQ UTG early in the miniFTOPS#1 I think you played this fine if you want to play it fast and have a read that villain is playing more than AA/KK this way. I flat the 3-bet pre-flop and I'm not folding this flop, but the hand plays so differently because of stacks it is pointless to even speculate the turn or later. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

2 spots in the ub 80k sniper Final table against BBOY3110 Hand 1 is purely read based, and it looks to me that you made that read when you called the turn. This river changes nothing (ya ya 2 pair now, but it is so slight that villain is barreling a hand with an ace). You don't have to call turn/call river every time but in this case you KNOW villain and you should expect him to bet the river 125 percent of the time in this scenario. If you fold on this particular river, you burned money by calling the turn. Second hand, whoa, what Gags said. Villain may or may not be nutted when he flats/4-bets but it is a nutted line. Villain is doing it with a ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
