Have the variance levelled out? I’ve been playing online for 2 years now and i am very interested to see (through my hand history) if the confrontation variance I:E: AK vs AQ, vis versa have levelled out as thy should. The standard confrontations we get into in mtt`s all the time. Does anybody know of the software that can do this for me ''''''' I know the likelihood is that the variance has levelled out to the laws of probability but I just want to see it for myself! So that I know if im losing its from bad play and not bad luck Thank you for your help! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

BOOM... God damm computer ! So I was at 2 final tables the other day after a very dry run and came a very frustrating 6th and 5th (bad beats of course). Then today I reach a final table of a $5 rebuy and I’m playing great, I was just 2nd in chips but the chip leader and me had a big gap from the field. We get down to the final 4 and me and the chip leader, (who I’m only just behind) have an even bigger gap between the other 2. I’m determined to take this tourney down, as I haven’t won an MTT for months, then boom my fucking god damm computer conks out and shuts down. OMFG I have to sit there for 10 minutes waiting for ... RIDICULOUSLY LONG HAND ANALYSIS, PLEASE READDDDDDDDDD i check here also, i dont mind seeing a free flop with A10 suited. if you put in a standard raise you will very likely have 1 or 2 callers then youre creating a big pot out of position with a weak ace, then if the flop comes 3 rags you feel as though you have to continuation bet to take down the pot, (and this can get nasty, lol), i also limp with the A10 if im in the small blind for the same reasons. if you raise and get called and you flop the ace or the 10 its unlikely your going to win a big pot as your hand just isnt strong enough to take a lot action and still be ahead! (but then in a ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

WCOOP Qualifier Bubble, Should I have gone all in here? i have to agree, sometimes you have to gamble, theres just no point in folding and looking for a better spot because you just dont have the stack. Q9 not a bad hand to do it with either , just hope for live cards or a race. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

final table of a rebuy, cooler or bad play???? Hello, first time posting. I was on the final table of a re-buy tournament yesterday, and I came on as the short stack and I took advantage of the tight preflop play and built my stack from 80k to 170k and became chip leader just through stealing blinds. I’ve got a question about the pot that I got involved in and ended up crippling my stack. The blinds were 5k 10k (no antes) with not much play for any one at the table as it was a 10 minute clock, I was on the big blind and its folded around to the button who raises it the minimum to 20k (tight player like every one else and I have no ... What's your most hated "good" hand? i really hate AK, always miss the flop and have my CB check raised, plus i never win races and AK is the race capital of the world. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Such a sick spot late in the Daily Fifty Grand... mgerman23 I don’t think you fully appreciate how good you have run to reach 2 final tables in one day (both were big fields I’m assuming) I realize its very frustrating to reach Final tables and go out on a bad beat but you have to run very very good (no matter how skilful you are) to reach final tables, just count yourself lucky you didn’t pick these bad beats up on the bubble. It’s a real slap in the face to me for you to complain about running bad at FINAL TABLES when I haven’t been near one for god knows how long and Whenever I’m all-in, 95% of the time I have by far the best of it. Why are the FT MTT payouts so shitty? i would prefer an 8% payout structure myself, i played in the stars millions about 2 mounth back and with 10894 people in and over 2000 people cashing, to me thats a silly amount of people cashing. and i just crept in the money but still think less should cash. A 'Smart Blind' Structured Tournament -- Hypothetical Yeah this is a very good idea, I’ve thought for a long time that mtt’s should have a slower structure (from 15 min blinds to 25min) for the last 15% of the field, so that there is more play and more skill whilst playing for the bigger money but I think your idea is much better. I think keeping the average stack at about 35 bb is good. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Such a sick spot late in the Daily Fifty Grand... i would most likely reraise pre-flop but i dont mind the flat call. he only comes out with a very small bet after the flop so i would probebly raise there because it looks like a very weak continuation bet with a very wide range of hands, problem is you will be commiting your stack. (as some one has already said this would be my main reason for the pre flop rereaise) the flat call on the flop was a big mistake as it really doesnt get you anywhere but more commited and next to no information on what you opponent has. so i would lean towards pushing on the flop(if hes got the ace, HES GOT THE ...
