Re(2): easy lay down?
You have to raise more pre-flop. Out of position early in a Sit-N-Gol....On guy limped then someone else raised to 80. I make it around 300 to go. Obviously the laydown was easy. Do not agree with Ally that you get Ax to fold the flop if you bet the pot. No way someone in Sit-N-Go folds a weak A if he flops an A. So you\r flop bet was fine....Bet half to find out where your at...Any action gotta look to check it down and muck any bet

Re(4): Tough AK first hand of sng.
with no info on the villian you are giving him way too much credit. Sure you could bein deep trouble, but an unknown guy in a $10 sit-in-go have have tons of hands you crush. Remember your typical oppenents do not think as much as you. He could have any suited K, any pocket pair, gutshot draw, pair of Q's etc.........I would say more often than not you have this guy in bad shape

Re(1): Live $175 multi...what to do?
early in tourneys I try to keep the pot small. I smooth call flop here. I find it really hard to believe that he already has the nut flush here. It seems logical in a multi way pot that someone wouldn't raise the stone cold nuts here. Therefore, you should either be looking at a non nut flush in which your Qd is live or the naked Ad as semibluff.or some/ b.s 2 pair or pair and str8 draw..(I figure a set reraised preflop) Since it is likely you are drawing I just assume calling ths raise and seeing what happens on the turn. I check the turn as well I dont mind risking a free diamond as much as ...

Re(1): Cash game - preflop - Kings
If he has aces here you just go broke. There is a time to fold KK preflop but this is not it. First off, he saw you limp reraise earlier, so he could have made a general read that you limp reraise monsters. Second as already said its just to big a reraise to look like Aces--Third and in my mind most important, Im not foldiing KK prelfop in a 2-5 NL game where I have no line on the player. If you had seen a previous line that suggested ultra tight, maybe muck; but with how many donkey's and ridiculous plays you see in a 2-5NL game these days I just dont see how you can't shove here. By just ...

Re(2): 5-10NL on ABsolute
I had been beaten up the game pretty good and had been getting a lot of respect so the callers did surprise me. They also worried me b/c it was 2 other deep stacks who I thought played pretty good. I wasn't suggesting checking to slowplay. I was more on the line of what charplay said that it was a scary flop. Seems like Im only getting called on this flop if Im crushed. Therefore being that it was 4 handed I thought I could check and see how the hand develops. For example, if someone fires the pot and gets called or riased I can easily get away from the hand. No real scare cards can come out ...

5-10NL on ABsolute
This is more of a general question that arose from an argument me and my brother had discussing a specific hand: Absolute Poker 5-10 NL : 9handed I'm up abt 1700 and have 2700 in front of me- I raise it to $35 early position w/ AA....get cold called by a tricky, aggresive player one to my left with abt 2500 behind, another decent player w/ abt 2200 and the SB with abt 600. Flop comes 668....I believe you check this flop to see how the hand develops. your only getting action if your crushed and I like keeping the pot small. My brother says you have to fire 80% of the pot here to take it down, ...

Absolute-$215 Bounty Tounrn
About 90 people left in the 100K gurantee Sat tourney. I am the massive chipleader of the tourney. I have 125K and 2nd has 80K. I keep getting moved around tables, and fold for the first couple rounds before I take over the table-I have been gaining tons of chips by selective aggression. I am at a new table and have folded first 25-30 hands. 6 seat I finally open with Q9 of clubs- Not exactly show of blinds at time but something like 1500-3K and I open for 9K. Late position player who hasn't played many pots nealry min raises me so that it is 10K more. After this raise he has abt 30K behind. ...

My Dumb Senator
I read Senator Kyl's support of online gambling and sent him the following letter. I did not want to redrill this issue since we have already just wanted you to know how big a fools these guys are. The things in quotes are his statements: look at how ridiculous they are: Mr. Kyl, I few questions regarding your approval of online gambling. A response would be greatly appreciated. “children may play without sufficient age verification” Every time I go online to play they require the funds come in through a 3rd party account which requires conformation of my bank account. That does not ...

Re(4): Could I Do Anything Differently?
sorry bro I still dont like the push. I dont think its that bad a play, however with 5 ppl it is very likely hearts are out there. By playing it cautiosly you may give a freecard if hearts aren't already there so what' Late in a tounrey Id rather make the mistake of giving a free card than the mistake of getting all in drawing dead. Your big worry is not to give a freecard which is very unlikey anywyasm, but if it did happen thats not a bad thing. If a scare card hits you can get away and if a safe card hits now you bet big enough to price anyone out knowing if they call you they now only ...

Re(2): Could I Do Anything Differently?
We've established you shouldn't have been in the pot in 1st place, also I dont like your bet on the flop. True it would be very hard to get away from that hand however it could have been done. For example, if you check---original raiser bets, 99 donkey raises, and nut flush goes over the top, then your 4-8 is an easy fold. For the most part your drastic all-in bet is getting called by a flush, higher str8, or set. Against 2 your dead, and against a set your not that much a favorite, plus if they have a heart with their set you are a dog. I know you got called by some donkey with 99 in that ...

Re(1): When to lay down med pp
This is a weak play that strong players might exploit, however against weak players who u put on a late position steal you can simply bet out the flop into them. If they raise you can reevaluate your situation, against most people I make this play against I fold if they raise. If they smoothcall I will prolly freeze on turn. Again this may be seen as a weak play, however if your opponents see you lead out with the nuts from time to time this would be a cheap way to find out if your mid pp is good. If you have been seen to bet out the nuts a riase here could be seen as a legitimate play. Again ...

Re(3): Could I Do Anything Differently?
lol. I didnt mean for you to get bent so out of shape guy. I was just looking from his point of view. It is hard for you to get away from that flop. But if I flop the joint and have some guy overbet the pot and another call I glady put in my chips, thinking I have to sweat the board pairing. When I realise I have them both drawing dead in the mud I would start dying laughing. Thats all I'm saying. As for my posts on this column, I have been playing live poker exclusivly for past year, so no time to mess with online. I decided to get back in school to get my MBA-which poker is paying for, and ...

Re(1): Could I Do Anything Differently?
How great would it be to have A8 of hearts here. You flop the nut flush and are trying to figure out how your gonna get paid and you get some donkey pushing with 48 and a bigger donkey calling with 99. If I'm sitting there with A8 I gotta like my spot
