Best Training Site For 6max Cash? Hi, My brother wants to play NLH 6max cash games more frequently so I'd like the P5 community to give their opinion on which Poker Training website is best for this game. He will be initially tackling low limits 50-100nl with the view to move upto 200nl within a few months. Presently I'm thinking Bluefire may be the best option but please feel free to give a cash game biff some direction. Thanks Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Do u lie about the hand u just played? True Story I was playing 2/5 live once at my local casino. To my right is a local gangster who loves poker but is terrible at the game. He's one of these retarded type of guys that doesn't have much brain capacity but has the capability to rip your arms off and shove them where the sun doesn't shine. So he open raises from the CO and I three bet him with 47ss on the button, however a tight player on the big blind then 4 bets. Retard gangster makes the call in a heart beat while I tank a little and decide my 47ss is no good :p. The three of us were all over 200bb deep which made me consider ... Cashing out a big score Bank wire like the man said /\ Cashing out is a personal thing and a question that only you can really answer. However I think the main question you have to ask yourself is what your immediate future will be in poker. If you want to move up and play larger buyin mtt's then you obviously have to keep a roll to support your buyins. I see so many people cash out after a score, big or small, then leave themselves short rolled and find themselves depositing again. It's all a balancing act and Bankroll management is always a winner. I should know since in the past i have been one of the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

moving up in mtt's how did you do it? I had a decent paid fulltime job when I started so I could afford the buyins. However if you have a decent micro/small buyin mtt record with a decent amount of volume yet you still can't afford to play the med limit mtt's then it may be worth looking at getting staked. Calling a shove on the bubble? In this specific situation your hand likely warrents a fold when you take everything into consideration. I am not a person who needs lectured on +EV situations and there is a time to CALL allin light but that is not one of those situations. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Calling a shove on the bubble? That's where the disagreement is then. You feel your edge is 'decent' with weak holdings in that spot where i think the edge is too small and the likelyhood of a situation with a better edge coming along warrents a fold with said weak holdings. We're obviously presuming this isnt a turbo mtt and the guy to his left isnt going anywhere in the next 15 mins+. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Calling a shove on the bubble? You really are missing the point. My point is CALLING there with a very weak ace is just nasty. Ofcourse you can loosen up the range of AJo+, 99+ but imo you can only loosen it slight to include maybe 77, 88, A10. All the best tournament pros in the world would tell you CALLING in that spot with Ax or a strong king is just horrible. If he had less than 25bb then an argument can be made for calling with weak holdings however in that spot i dont think so. So many people undervalue fold equity and what using it properly doesn for your long term EV. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Calling a shove on the bubble? Read one or two of the replies. Some sound decent and some sound awful. I would call with AJo+ 99+. there is absolutely no point in calling with worse hands since you are racing a lot more of the time. You simply need a better hand calling than pushing so people talking about calling with A2s are so wrong its silly. Fold Equity is a huge part of winning a hand and enhances your overall % chance of winning the hand. When you call you are obviously giving no fold equity. Hence your hand has to be almost always at least 60/40, especially since you have 25bb. The way you have described this ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Has Pokerstars Now Made It Harder to Reach Supernova Eliite Status? 2009 --- / 2010 --- / Initially I thought that the change in VPP distibution would be an improvment for the avid mass hand grinder. However after playing 6k hands on the first day of this change I'm starting to have reservations. That said I'll hold off my judgement until the first month is over and until all tables sporting the old code have been replaced by the new. Any links or comments other than the above would be most welcome' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PCA MTT challenege I doubt very much if either of them could handle 20 tables at once. I'll definitely play if I'm at the PCA. That will depend on whether I can win entry into the main event. Is this run by Pokerstars or just someone who is organizing a private tournament on stars' Either way, Great idea and good luck with it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

How many tables can you play on FTP I have started to play 6max cash tables on FTP and at the moment am playing 6 comfortably. I haven't tried to play more as yet but I think 8 would be the optimum amount. Normally I play Pokerstars and the software there is much better allowing for a lot more tables. I'm curious how many tables other people play and at which point they feel their edge reduces significantly. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Softest Games Online? Curious where people think the best action is. I play only Stars but am often told that the med limit cash games on stars are the toughest. Is there any other sites with better games and decent software' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:SUPERNOVA ELITE ON POKERSTARS i 24 table 1/2 and 2/4 but i also work full time but having an idea on how many hands they play per year (9 handed) means i can calculate if it's possible for me this year. The pokerstars calculator doesnt ask if you play 6max or 9 handed. It also doesnt exceed 12 tables played. Obviously you can double the limits to represent double the tables however im not sure if that would keep the figures 100% accurate. Thanks Posted in: Poker Discussion |
