Fiscal Cliff Thread I don't think that is true in the slightest. Everything that has been on the news is the "taxes are going up on the $250k+ crowd". Very little has been mentioned on the 2% payroll taxes that will cost (EVERYONE, average person $2000) and it comes out of your check starting next week. Neither side wanted to extend the payroll tax breaks, so very little was said about it. I think it was a mistake on the Republicans side. We all know that payroll taxes essentially come out the same general fund not in some SS LockBox that isnt touched anyways. So I think they should have tried to keep the break ... Fiscal Cliff Thread All Im saying is a gigantic amount of people don't realize their paycheck will be smaller next week and won't be happy about it. Wasn't the "tax relief" in order to stimulate the economy' If so won't the inverse hurt the economy' And LOL at the Republicans not wanting them to be permanent, they certainly did, but couldn't pass it that way. You get a 3% raise this year' Most likely your take home pay will be much less than last year, taking payroll tax increase and medical increases into consideration. Recap: My 1st Year as a Pro Golfer (2k posts) Hey Zags, great read. Good Luck and keep on keeping on. A question for you since I am a PGA Teaching Professional and TPI certified. Have you went to the Titleist Performance Institute (since its in CA) and went thru their screening' I see that you are trying to be more healthy and get in better shape so your body can be more consistent and be able to move in the ways it needs to produce more quality and more consistent shots. If you haven't I think they could probably put together a really good exercise program, that would target areas that need to be fixed. They have a had a bunch of tour ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Hows my golf swing? I agree with ZeeDustin. Practice taking the club back to where the club is parallel to the ground. At this point, the shaft should be parallel with the target line. You will be on plane at this point, but I can assure you it is going to feel like your taking it way "outside." I try to get my student to imagine your playing baseball and on your backswing you are trying to put the clubhead into the catchers mitt, it will make you take it back on plane and usually also helps to get "width" in your swing. Without seeing it I can guess with about 95% certainty that your grip is also "weak" Posted in: Off Topic |

Public Education My daughter is in that situation right now. She is about to go to high school, she is in 8th grade. She is an honors student and has had straight A's as far as I can remember. I am worried because some the English essays and papers she has written is no where near what will be expected hopefully in high school and certainly college. She has virtually no homework and can skate by with using her awesome memory and not having to have real study skills. She does competitive gymnastics 16 to 20 hours a week after school and may have 1 hour worth of homework a week. Definitely, a school where they ... Posted in: Off Topic |
