Re(5): Bodog 100K Thread
I was in, donkey couldn't fold his K9 to my set of Eights and we both filled up on the river... At least I didn't waste half the day only to bubble. GL all still in.

Re(6): I can't believe there isn't more talk about FTP
What NetFan said. Plus, those guys who say it looks cheap, I'm not sure why or what they're comparing to, it doesn't look as cheap as before. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. They really need to do something different with the avatars though, they blow. I just keep them turned off.

Re(1): Besides PS...best low limit SNGs?
Put $600 on FT and work your 100% matching bonus off playing a ton of low limit turbo sng's. Most sites don't credit rake from sng's against a bonus, Full Tilt does. Bad players, great bonus. I've found the play just as bad in the $22 sng's as the $11's fwiw. Good Luck.

Re(3): Real tough one early sit'n'go
I agree, or at least if you're going to bet, I would recommend a bet of about 1/2 the pot or slightly less. There's no scary flush draw, and anyone drawing to a str8 is probably looking at a gutshot, and you're one of them. With the action the way it played out, though, you're most likely beat, fold and look for a better spot. BB prob has QJ, orig. raiser prob has KT or K9.

Re(1): Quiz
without reading other responses: A) - Assuming it's folded to me, I'm calling and betting if no A or K come on the flop, I think any raise here guarantees he's pushing. If I call and an A or K hits (or both) and he pushes, I'm folding, unless of course, there's a Q there, too. I'm calling if he pushes w/ no A or K on the flop and hoping he's got a smaller pair and hasn't made a set. B) - Depends on the player, but generally, I'd play that hand about 30-40% of the time in that situation. C) - If we're truly deepstacked, yes, I'm calling, and I'll hope to hit a set or make a play on an ugly ...

Keep a copy of "The Book of Satan" by the door and tell them there's a book you'd like to share with them... That or just cut to the chase and tell them to go fuck their magic underwear.

Re(2): Sit and Go-interesting idea, or maybe not
For professor sheets - Pros: 1 - Instills fear in opponents (in this game), particularly valuable in a turbo, short-handed, short stack situation, they won't take stealing from you lightly, easier to pick on the tighter players. 2 - Go big or go home, the real $ is in first place, this positions you nicely for a first place finish if you win the hand. 3 - Stack size getting low, so if you don't double soon, you're losing valuable fold equity. (but this discussion is calling the very concept into question in some manner) 4 - Long term table image. This is the kind of hand that people will ...

Re(6): Sit and Go-interesting idea, or maybe not
I see it, and it would probably put me in more of a wait for premium hand and push it hard mode, so yes, I might be less likely to attempt a steal of your blind, etc... it is probably particularly effective at your levels because you likely see the same players frequently, and they'll want to avoid you in the future, so you gain value long term. At the levels I play, I don't see the same guys that often, so the move fails to gain that long term value. Again, good discussion.

Re(1): Live Play--Flopped Quads--Bet the river?
Depends on your read of your opponent and your table image. If you've been aggressive and/or caught stealing, you might try to overbet it, inducing a call, or underbet it, inducing a raise, or if you've been tight and your opponent aggressive, you might be better off to check and hope he bets.

Re(4): Sit and Go-interesting idea, or maybe not
"A typical SnG pays 5x buyin for first. If a particular play wins 34% of the time, and that play allows you to win 70% of the time when it succeeds, then it's real potential is 0.34 x 5 x 0.7 = 1.19. Meaning that you win about 19% of your buyin per trial on an averaged basis. It's even profitable if you only win the SnG 60% of the time when it succeeds." Doesn't this analysis fail to include the possibility of winning after folding the 7-6' Also not going to win every time you make this play and succeed, but you will not place 2nd or 3rd ever if this play doesn't succeed, where you might if ...

Re(3): SNG move
I've seen a ton of guys do this, especially if they get AK first hand. I'll often push when I get AA or KK and get callers because people will call with any med-lg pair having seen people doing just what you're describing. So, in short, please keep doing what you're doing so I get callers when I push w/ AA or KK. Thanks very much.

Re(3): I think Full Tilt has tons of potential to be a HUGE site
What bfactor said. The repositioning and visual hand history kick ass, smooth action, great bonuses and..... nevermind, won't say it here. Just needs more players. They are marketing the hell out of it, so plenty of new blood seems to be coming in.

I guess I'm the only one that thinks Liz Lieu isn't hot. I just don't get it at all, and her style is atrocious. Not that it matters, just had to get that out there.

Re(1): Railbirds, what players do you rail most often?
i don't think shot in the arm means what you think it means. try punch to the gut, or kick to the head, or even smack to the balls. shot in the arm is usually a good thing. I don't get railing, but hey, rail on man.

Re(4): Bill Gazes quote from WPT last night... awesome
He's a dumb donk, but he seemed to know he's a dumb donk, so he was playing an optimal style for his ability. He probably read Kill Phil right before the tournament. He could certainly have behaved in a more dignified manner. How funny is it that his wife's name is Carmella' Tony and Carmella from New Jersey. I don't think the mob's got this guy selling mattresses for them, though.

Re(3): Folding KK preflop
I busted out of the bodog 100k on Sunday with KK all in preflop vs. AA, I beat myself up pretty good over it all day. When sheets had min raised to 200, guy to my right made it 500, I kicked it up to 900, everyone folds to him and he pushes for about $3k. I thought for a long while, and I kept hearing Harrington in the back of my head saying "if I have KK and someone else has AA, I'm probably going broke". Thing was, I knew it was coming, so I should have layed it down. The guy was not overly tight, but hadn't been out of line much. I never play $100 buy in tourneys, but I had won the ticket ...
