thanks for all the great advice ..guess im gonna have to find some way to pay for poker tracker in a few weeks = / being poor is no fun when u enjoy playing poker hahahaha but i love it and the entertain ment value is still cheaper then seeing 2 movies a week like i used to lol

what do u think about the pokertracker software i love how it tell me my up and downs i like how it tracks my hands an shows how much i put in and lost or won i mean do u think its worth spending the $80 on it ' i have no money and my bankroll is rly low lol but i d like to do what i can to learn...

how do you improve your game ?
hey guys i figured maby i d ask a simple question and hope for some good anwser i ve read some books read the post but how do u guys all go about anlysing and picking up the leaks in ur own games '' i ve been using poker tracker free trial and dont know if i should go about buying it in 40 days ' i have so far started a poker log just writing down how much i throw down on a table but it rly dosnt seem to change much i try to stick to cash games latly but i do enjoy tournys and sngs any advice would be great and thanks

well if it weren't for the few books i read my game would have never improved so much so they did help me to understand u know pot odds and how many outs i have so much better. i wasnt good at that at all i played cards for a few years now but online i only started a few months ago...this site even helps alot i ve read alot of the strategy they have here as well

see i actually do well in ring games and i like to play alot more SNGs then anything i just feel like when i play rush im unlucky. i had AA once , guy had KK and he catches the king on the river i mean thats luck of the cards but even then i guess i need to be a little more patient in rush poker .when i play ring games i watch everything everybody does as far as how much they raise with what hands they show and i guess its just easier because of my reads on them with rush i cant see every hand that they play

Rush poker ....
I was wondering how you guys play rush poker ' i have some extremely good runs then i just bomb out i try to play in position with premium pocket pairs and every now and again suited connectors .... a buddy of mine says he pulls a nice profit from rush but i feel like i dont do well at all ...any advice '!

i feel like i hear the same thing on fulltilt lol but idk i think people look for excuses obviously in online poker u see more hands in quicker time so u just tend to see it more often then others i mean ive played live games and had a horrible run for like 3 hours in a cash game lol so i dk i try to have faith that no big major online gambling site is gonna try to rig there games and risk there credibility imo

well the good things is i dont have to spend the money on any books they bring them into the libaray from other ones so its all good and im learning alot from the book im reading now but i rly do like reading the books for the entertainment value as well thanks for ur input guys

good poker books
i picked up a few books at the my public library and i started reading poker the real deal by phil gordon and i rly like it i also took out harrington on holdem and some other book about winning holdem tournys just for the hell of it i also got them to order Power holdem and super system to read next any other i should look out for and possibly get i find these books to be very entertaining

i feel pretty much the same way i feel now when i tell a girl yeah my hobbies are working out and poker i dont get looked at like a freak they r actually interested to here about it lol and i feel like poker is a sport i mean its on espn = p lol and i rly enjoy the thrill of winning i feel like this is a sport i m good at and the best part is i do it well sitting on my ASS !! lmao

yeah i love movies just need to get my self a dvd player waiting till XMAS to get one since i have abunch a dvds in a big cd binder that i wanta watch so once that gets going ill have that on the side to keep me entertained but thats alot im gonna start marking my wins and losses from now on

THANKS to every body with the advice it realy is helping me to understand this alot more i been reading more and more articles been watching the WSOP like a religion i mean the only true physical actitys i like r weight lifining and im not a big sports fan ...i take poker to be my SPORT lol To every body that gave me that great advice i hope u read this to get my thanks ! and if any body ever needs anything from me i ll try to help my best im only good at fixing computers and weight lifting so i guess ill help the best i can Thanks agian guys !

yeah i mean i dont make alot of money right now i was layed off from a job and now work a job i used to work 2 years ago so money is coming in as much but its enough to do what i enjoy i like to play poker but i just get angry when i go all in pocket queens and somebody calls me 5 3 suited and wins with the flush i would never call an all in hand with that in my hand i just dont understand it lol

well thanks to all the people with the real advice im greatfull and i m not asking to win a ton of money ..but i feel if i could win and build a decent bank roll i would start with the higher games and i like to do the cheap multi table tourneys cause there fun and alot of excitment to me i dont make alot money but i dont mind putting money on here to keep me busy its better then when i was droping money on world of warcraft for no reason what so ever this is my hobbie and im just tring to fidn out how do u over come the frustration and stay focused i want to be a better poker player just ...

well 20 bucks is alot of money to me being as that im low on cash about every day of my life i play $1 sngs and i feel i get beat on dumb hands i know people play bigger then i do but when all u have extra from ur pay check every week is about 40 bucks 20 bucks is alot of money that i could use to keep my self busy i need to find ways to back away when i start to get frustrated

poker is my only form of entertainment when im home ... and i been on a bad loosing streek lost over 20 bucks in 2 days how do u just get up and walk away i feel when i loose i keep going but become to frustraited to make good decisions how do u just walk away !'!'!

Back in my video game addiction stage before poker took over my life i had a clan who had a Java based chat room for the members of the gaming community what about maybe a chat for pocket fives ' even if it Were an IRC channel that would be kinda cool to all be in one room at one time getting advice and enjoying the game even more...im new to this site and this is just an idea as i find my self browsing this site on all my down time .. any body else has any ideas join in !

i just finshed that SNG stratagies article and it kinda basicly showed me what i do so wrong in the early stages of the game witch probly causes me to loose ! i hope to turn this around and start the winning process

sry i play on Full tilit and i enjoy playings SNGs i tend to play for no more then a buck or 2 because laltly my bank roll is no more then 10 bucks at a time and i play 5/10 cent limit games every now and agian but the sngs r my addiction if u could help me out with some advice that be awesome

a few pointers please
I m kinda novice at poker and have only been playing online for a few months now although i seem to be getting better it tends only be due to luck and my mood .... i feel i dont understand what hands i should be playing i get mixed advice from friends so i figured i d try my luck on this fourm so would u say its worth playing straight draws ' i mean i preffer to do JQ befor 23 obviously but is it worth playing hands of this nature' should i be folding low flush draws ' lower pairs should i see the flops play them like there a big hand or just let it go .. if any one has any advice what ...

i was refered to this site from sombody on face book and was told this would be a good place for some tips and i rly want to up my game i consider my self a fairly decent poker play but some times i play extreamly well then sometimes extreamly bad so it seems to me i have no inbettween lol if anny one could throw me some begginer tips on how to play NL SNGs i try to play realy high open ended straight draws and pocket pairs and high flush draws i try to stay away from all the low hands or gut shot draws but if any one could shoot me some advice i d be great full thanks agian
