Re:New FTP client is killing me The new client locked up for me all the time and the suggested settings made no difference. I am now running the Windows 7 evaluation copy and in the last ten days I haven't had a single lock up in about 30 hours of play. Windows 7 is the future my friends. Just had a trawl through DB and on Stars only Bax and Chad are currently tied at 16 a piece which I figured to be hard to beat. moorman has 8, below 8, ajk 6, stevie444 6, busto_soon 4, pearljammer 7, shaundeeb 9, ch0ppy 9, badpab2 6, Gboro780 7 but ruling the roost of those I've looked at so far is djk123 with a pretty astonishing 19! Really what are you beating now' You are only going to get called by hands that have you crushed or idiots, mostly the first. With only an outside chance of a split pot you are on a hiding to nothing and a lot of the time villain will show up with A2 anyway so you get quartered. Thats the trouble with (or beauty of') O8. The most pretty starting hand is so often a dog after the flop! I can sympathise tho. Have been in the same situation too many times and almost always regret that bluffy show of strength ... Re:Where do donks end? I see using the power of OPR that you are playing the $4/180's and some 45's. If you think the 4's are donk shovefests then play some $2 turbo's. These are great roll builders precisely FOR the reasons you are whining about. You will take a lot of horrendous beats in the 4/180's and now and again by being patient (and lucky) you will take one down for 53 buyins profit. They are 98% full of clueless donks which has to be just about perfect doesn't it' If you don't like playing against fools for easy money then head on up the levels where you will be seen as the ... You can't blame full tilt just because they suck at admin. Don't expect much sympathy with the "I am not a cheater" line. Re:Anyone used a 50" screen for playing poker? I tried playing on my 42" HD plasma but the screen resolution is no better than the 17" on my laptop so no more tables just damn hard to read. I think the best HD res is something like 1080x720 and any decent 20"+ monitor will run at 1440xsomething or other so it probably isn't worth the bother. Re:is pokeroffice any good I use it and it's ok but I think it could be a LOT better. When you have a lot of tables open it gets very power hungry and recently it has been randomly closing down which is always helpful! Thinking about chopping it for holdem manager. Re:Sharkscope subscription and HUD I think you'll find stars initially banned SS and HUD but after a lot of complaints they have allowed it again and are trying to restrict Sharkscopes access to the actual results. I have no more probs on stars that on full tilt. You will notice that the HUD is a BETA version with all the usual disclaimers. Often it will work for the first hour or so then freezes and wont show new games or new players at existing tables which is a pain in the ass. It's great whilst it works but if you weren't going to get a subscrition anyway then don't do it just for the HUD cause it falls ... Posted in: Poker Discussion	screaming willy Nov 28th, 2008
Re:Need serious help and suggestions... If you really have never used any of the websites then a sharkscope sub is great for sng's and for some bizarre reason it also tracks MTT's on full tilt. Re:Kudos Stars I am pretty sure when I read the rules yesterday during the meltdown that it specifically says that only actual buyins will be refunded as part of the roll forward calculations and NOT any monies added by pokerstars to make up the guarantee.
