I can't believe I missed this. It looks great and if everyone had even half as good a time as it looks like in the pics, this was the party of the year. I am so sorry I wasn't there. I just crashed, and not in a relaxed way. I crashed off this Vegas, let adrenaline replace sleep and keep going, party that I've been on since I got here ten days ago. I was out hard and didn't get up until 12 hours later. My wife, Deb told me she played a little slots and went to bed early, and John told me the girls just went back to Pure. Although from a couple of credible pm's I got, this may be a blessing ...

Only in Vegas... As the old amoung you may remember, I am long past my nightclub years. So it was with more than a raised eyebrow when I found myself with a pair of hotties hanging with the dj up on the roof at Pure last night. But to start at the beginning. Wow! So nobody thought that was funny?
I can't believe that this place has gotten so ..... Used to be that things weren't so uptight around here that we could share a laugh at an old guy's expense, but I guess not anymore. And I am a poker fiction writer afterall. * and for those of you who really care - for whatever reason. The truth of the matter is that I taught my wife to play and she is currently kicking my fat azz all over the felt. I still cannot beat stars and I think I never will, but she wins all the time. *

tyvm Jennifear - much love and respect as always. My point in writing the article was simply to state my situation and also what I have done to rectify it. As for my own opinion of my poker, well, over the years I am up enough to make my losses at Pokerstars insignificant, so I am not about to just quit. But it does bother me that, if I never played at stars, I would likely be up at least another 25-50k. Maybe it's time for the coach to get a coach. I hear you do some good work ;o)

OMG - father-in-law had heart attack tonight. Just back now from the hospital. I am sooo sorry that I will not be able to go to the get-together that I put together in the first place. Official P5s Borgata AC Friday July 18 Meetup post
From my post earlier this week and the replies, here's the complete info so far: Tomorrow (Fri 7/18) at the Borgata in Altantic City NJ 75k guaranteed 12 pm tourney. If you can get there early, meet downstairs from the poker room in the food court around 11 am. Wear your P5s gear or look for the fat, bald guy in the P5s t-shirt If you can, post here if you will definately be coming or pm me ur cell #. See you there!

Food court at 11 sounds good. Hopefully the Tony Luke's is open by then - roast pork sandwich with greens and cheese for the win! I think I will wear my old p5s t-shirt just in case there are lots of overweight bald guys there who look like me ;o) I also plan on coming back in August at least once, maybe for the Deep Stack 2k thing, or maybe just on another Friday or Wednesday.

I just got a flyer from the Borgata announcing that all daily tourneys now start with 10k in chips. Was this the case when you played' The last time I was there was a few months ago and it was not 10k to start.

Wednesday (11 am) is a $120 buyin with 20k guaranteed and Friday (12 am) is a $340 buyin with 75k guaranteed. I am leaning towards Friday. After I talk with my wife I will repost and pm anyone who replied.

Just in the money now in that $4.40 thing and it's at 250/500 instead of the usual 500/1000. I must admit that when I saw a 12 chip ante at 60/120 I lol'd, but this is alright. Btw - I have to go pick up my son. I miss the days where I could just post and have a p5er finish it out for me.
