Lock Ops - new Merge series I was contemplated making a small investment as a glorious return to online poker when i read about this series, but 2+2 seems to indicate quite a bit of payment issues recently and lack of response regarding issues. FU DOJ, etc. Posted in: Poker Sites |

AA facing Turn shove in 3bet pot very easy call. also agree with 1kish pre flop this early and in ep edit: maybe not VERY easy but i would never fold without an amazing read to do all the draws/live players just shoving when they dont know what to do Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Live turbo-y FT, R/F shove or fold with 15bb spot With no antes I think I would seriously just fold unless the table is ridic tight. which it probably is, in which case i like the min-r/f Posted in: Live Poker |

QQ post flop trouble Completely disagree but I did make the point that flatting is fine in some situations. I have a big hand and want to win a big pot, so whatever is the best way to make that happen given the table dynamics is what I will do. the raise on the flop is my main concern with this hand. QQ post flop trouble cmon peeps its 40bb and QQ. you should be trying to get it in pre barring some amazing read. as we have none, 3b/call. Or flat if there are some shorter stacks and/or aggressive people behind you for deception and hope for a sqeeze. as played call flop, evaluate turn. might as well pot control now. im pretty sure flatting, then raising in a 4 way pot on a k hi flop when the OR cbets is the worst thing to do. Are you bluffing' i dont even get it. oh and i didnt even notice the preflop range you assigned him. If you assign him that range, or anything close to it, please 3 bet almost 100% of ... Recently got laid off, is trying to become a live pro inadequate? You are definitely setting your goals too high based on an upswing. $10k a month is a very tough month if you are playing 2/5 and 5/5 unless you also make a nice score in a tourney, which is also statistically unlikely, or you play like 50-60 hours a week optimally and are very disciplined about game/time selection. 5/10 that is a more reasonable goal. Also, are you suggesting that you have a 50/100NL bankroll, or am i reading that wrong' Cuz you need a couple hundred k in the bank for that. Having been in a moderately similar situation about 10 months ago, ill just say set attainable ... Posted in: Live Poker |

Battle of the blinds in Sunday Mill. I think considering stack sizes shoving is pretty optimal. I guess limp calling his inevitable shove is ok, but I'd say I'm shoving 95% of the time for reasons stated above. Don't think we need such long discussion points Posted in: Poker Discussion |

FTP Hearing, monday While I am getting more skeptical by the day about ever seeing any of that money again, its pretty ridiculous to suggest that the company doesn't have a lot of value. The online poker company process over the past 10 years has been....build a semi decent site with lots of investor money, spend money marketing, build a base, and hopefully be able to slowly reinvest in the company to make it better and exponentially grow the player base. It costs a lot of money and years, and good management and luck to get to the point full tilt is already at. Buy FTP, change the name (maybe not even ... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Moving to Vegas, but i have a plan. You have to make a pretty good amount of $ to save $3k a month. Im cheap and when i made a good salary AND had poker income I couldnt even do that. Does army recruiter pay over $50k' maybe idk. everyone else has mentioned the terrible quality of life youll have with this plan, but what about if it doesnt work out' Do you want to just be an army recruiter forever if your plan fails' I honestly have no clue what is available for post service army guys, but i doubt its a whole lot. AK off in live 2-5 game... Uhhhh yeah the only reason you should ever have like $300 in a 2/5 game, especially when people are straddling is to get your stack in with perfect spots like this Also with like $70 in the pot and 5 callers when it gets to you, I would raise to more than $65 to either a) take it down pre or b) have a reasonable flop shove stack in the event that you do get a caller or two Posted in: Live Poker |
