P5s Scouting Report
Shaun Deeb's name became synonymous with "high volume" early in his career, earning him a spot atop the PokerStars Yearly Tournament Leaderboard. He is a PocketFives Triple Crown winner who won the March '09 Monthly PLB title after posting victories in the PokerStars $100 Sunday rebuy for $75.8k, the Full Tilt $100 rebuy for $41.5k, the Stars $100k Guaranteed for $28.2k and the Stars Nightly Hundred Grand for $21,700 within a period of one week. He also had a 2nd place effort in the $100 Sunday rebuy during that month for nearly $50k.
In August '08, he won the FTOPS Heads-Up Event #9 for $115,000. That win came only three months after he took down the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up for $102,500. In September '08, he won the $300 PLO rebuy WCOOP Event #25 for $144,000. In January '09, Shaun won the PokerStars $1k Super Tuesday for $81,800.
His other online accomplishments include an outright victory and 3rd Place finish in the Full Tilt $1k Monday for a combined $125,000, plus another 3rd Place showing in the Full Tilt $750k Guaranteed for $52,500. In April '09, Shaun took 2nd in the PokerStars High Stakes SCOOP Event #20 for $90,300. In September '10, Shaun captured an outright victory in the PokerStars WCOOP Event #28 ($1,000+50 NLHE Two-Day) for $243,600 along with a win in the Full Tilt Poker $750k Guarantee weekly flagship event for $132,800.
In May 2012, Deeb won a record-setting fifth SCOOP title in a $2,100 HORSE event. The final table was chalk-full of poker talent, including PocketFives Triple Crown winner Dylan "ImaLucSac" Linde, Jonathan "FatalError" Aguiar, George "Jorj95" Lind, Russia's Andrey "Zaya" Zaichenko, and the United Kingdom's Jon "EMSBas" Spinks.
In 2007, Shaun Deeb made headlines after wagering nearly $1 million on UltimateBet Blackjack in a week, and winning over $30,000 in the process!
