I'm curious..... There's no way I'm calling with pairs like 33. It'd have to be 66+, A9s, ATo+, KQ Posted in: Poker Discussion |

two hands that I'm kind of confused about SCOOP ME -Med. sticking 20 blinds in there with 99 looks pretty poor to me, although I suppose it can't be that bad if he's three betting so much Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Fold the full house on the river? merge network This is a foolish argument. If he thinks his opponent's value range is solidly ahead, he can fold almost anything. The third player tank could have tank folded a few hands other than the naked Ah, so I probably wouldn't fold in this particular spot Posted in: Poker Discussion |

$55 AK Preflop spot, 30BB and I really want to fold.. People demanding you stick it in isn't really going to change your mind here. You need to be comfortable in your own game. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

AKS, OOP, With lead, 3-bet pot. Is it optimal to shove on F-draw flop, 100 BBs Deep If he's calling one pair hands you're going to win a majority of the time, so I theoretically it's fine Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Need advice on how to put poker on your resume For a trading job I'd say definitely include poker-related experience. If you've been winning for >2 years consistently it's hard to ignore even for someone who only knows the basics, and that much is guaranteed in a trading house. Draw parallels between the skills required for trading and poker, but keep it reasonably brief. Trading on an expected ROI and being able to weather significant variance in results are two obvious ones. Posted in: Poker Community |

Brad booth hellmuth bs You're joking, right' Even if you pretend a high stakes game is exactly the same as 400NL, you're saying you'd have no qualms getting $1300+ in with two kings on a 3 6 7 board in 400NL' Posted in: Poker Community |

FTP Answers 5/5 I have a lot of sympathy for online players in the US, but there's really nothing players from other countries can do about it. Having us stop playing would make it less likely for American players to receive money, so "fickle and lazy" just doesn't apply here. If Australia was kicked off online poker tomorrow I wouldn't expect anything different. Posted in: Poker Sites |

Official Bankroll Management Thread The only consideration here is if you have a connection that occasionally drops out for longer than a couple of minutes. If you have a large amount of your bankroll over many tables, even while adhering to a conservative money strategy, it could be disastrous. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Should I even be playing? The percentage of nights you lost is irrelevant, particularly in live games with less hands. The important consideration is, looking back as objectively as possible, were you making quality decisions' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Backing Question - Backer wants out at $100k makeup? It's not a question of fairness; if no terms were stipulated the backer has landed themselves in a poor spot. It then comes down to how generous the horse wishes to be, so yes, you could make a case to have some of the money returned that wasn't for playing, with the understanding that anything returned is at the horse's discretion.
