One industry insider told Card Player that “the chances of a poker bill happening in 2011 are 50-50 between Thanksgiving and Christmas.” If such legislation was approved, U.S. gaming companies could offer real money poker by January 2013. Jan, 2013 is the earliest' Ouch!

Dan, thanks for the explanation on the best case scenario. If the bill is successfully added to another bill as a funding measure and passes, do you suppose US players are still facing a lengthy time before it becomes officially rolled out and legalized' When the UIGEA was passed in the midnight hour, there was still a year long period where the bill was not actually enforceable to give the banks sufficient time to react to the new guidelines. I'm going to be optimistic with the thought that it will be added to another bill and passed before the end of the year.

What does the best case scenario look like and what sort of timeline would that require' The bill needs to be marked up and then approved by a committee first, correct' If approved does the bill then go to the full house of reps for vote and then to the senate'

I was following the action on the WPT site last night. I noticed that he's bringing a little bit of trash talk to the table. I think it adds a little bit more excitement to the table as long as no one takes anything personal and doesn't get too upset. I like the line he used about "what does Kia mean in your language." I thought that was clever and humorous. Now, if the other player wanted to step up his game he could of come back with: How many more tries will it take you before you can spell your first name correctly' It's spelled D W I G H T Or he could of said, not sure ...

I watched you take down a tournament in Biloxi and followed you online at this year's WSOP. lol - have you looked at my stats' I assure you, no one is seeking my my poker expertise. My friend was frustrated with the outcome of the hand and I told him that he should not be so critcal of his play. I suggested that he post the hand so he could hear it from more seasoned and knowledgeable players. He was reluctant to post it and for my own curiousty, I asked if he would send me the pokerhand link and here it is. But I can see my typo above an how you would have concern. However, I can tell you that we are only sharing hand experiences and trying to discuss and improve our poker game.

We've all been in this situation before...................
I've got a friend that is really disappointed that he made this call for his tourney life with AK. We talked about all the different hands this guy could be shoving with and I still feel it was a good spot to get it all in and race. This hand took place in the $30k today. We're just curious to get some feedback and to hear some thoughts on whether he managed this hand/tourney correctly. He was plenty deep and could of obviously made the lay down - but would that be a correct play here' It's your standard race AK vs KK........ Thanks!!!
