Does smoking cause diabetes? Thanks. I agree that feeling shitty was my normal. I didn't have insurance for a long time and then when I finally got it, I was so used to the feeling I didn't even think to go get checked out for anything. Of course I had just converted from a consultant to full time employee a couple weeks before so I was between insurances when this happened. I'm assuming my blood sugar was so high because before I was admitted to the hospital, I was feeling so dehydrated that in 12 hours I drank a gallon of milk, 3 32oz powerades, 5 cans of pop and about 20 glasses of water. Does smoking cause diabetes? Probably more than you wanted to know. The definition of Diabetes is having High Blood Sugar levels. Type 1 means your body is unable to produce insulin. Insulin helps convert glucose in your blood stream to energy. Type 2 diabetes is caused by being overweight and eating more carbs than your body can keep up with. Having too low of blood sugar is called Hypoglycemia. About a month ago, I ended up in the hospital and was diagnosed with diabetes and I have been a daily pot smoker for almost 20 years. App making I'm guessing TDoodle just worded this poorly (at least I hope that is the issue). I think he meant don't say go learn to code but rather give him some tips on how to learn to code. Like what software he should be downloading, if there are any good tutorials on the process, etc. The answer to that question is that it is going to depend on your target audience. You will want to either create an iPhone app or Android app to begin with as trying to learn both at the same time would be more work than a beginner could reasonably be expected to accomplish. 39.6 percent tax rate!! I would never suggest everyone should be equal otherwise no one at all would have reason to work hard. But the payscale for the top of the chain is growing out of control. Just because you can find another unskilled worker capable of doing the same work isn't a good enough reason to not pay a liveable wage. There is no reason a company should be making $40+ billion in profit in a year. Either charge less for you products making them more affordable for more people and/or pay your employees better. Is Tony Hawk a bad parent? Our society is so overprotective these days it is sick. I never wore a helmet riding a bike as a kid and had plenty of wipeouts and injuries. Accidents happen. IRL help - Work Review Did you look up average pay for your position' How does your pay compare to that' 10% is a pretty dang good raise unless you were vastly underpaid compared to your peers. Even then, you've only been doing this for a year (unless you had prior experience doing the same thing). The biggest raises usually come when you get promoted or leave for a new job. Is it required that that clicking submit or whatever causes a page reload' If yes, you'd have to use the url parser to check if there is a parameter. If there is then you display the converted temp, if not then display the textbox and buttons for submitting a temperature. If you really want to learn this, I suggest following tutorials. It isn't that hard to modify the code that they provide to come up with working solutions. You're next assignment will be harder to do if you don't learn this one. Job Advice Needed I would take job 2 in a heartbeat. I'm not a salesman so job 1 likely wouldn't earn me more money than job 2 especially with added cost of gas plus loss of up to 2 hours a day commuting. What are you doing with your life (career-wise) and are you happy? I was working as an insulator for 7 years which was a pretty crappy job but decent pay and good amount of time off. Then Obama pushed out ARRA which boosted my income pretty substantially. This allowed me to buy a new car and a house. Decided I didn't want to go back to the old pay rate so I finished my 2 year degree in computer science over the last year. Am now working at a Fortune 100 company in software development which is what I always wanted to do.
