Re:VARIANCE OMG HELLPPPP!!!!!! If you're playing a lot of Sit and Go's, you're probably seeing a lot of the same players. Players you have notes on also have notes on you. If you're running bad with your preflop races, stop pushing preflop. It's time to change your game. Mix it up. Play small ball. IE- look for small pots to see flops with... if you catch, build the pot. Post flop, turn, river play will develop you complex thinking strategy's and get you away from this preflop gamble you've been doing. Payout Structures I'm curious as to how to break down the payouts if I pay out 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 spots in a tourney' Right now if I pay 2, 3, 4, 5spots, I have the percentage broken down as follow: 80/20, 70/20/10, 60/25/10/5... so I was trying to find some online info about how more spots are broken down for payouts, but can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for... which is just specifically paying out 5 to 10 spots progressively' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Absolutely Cold Decked ($3/6 Ring Game) What sets this hand up is the guy that beat me here had just doubled me up 2 or 3 hands earlier, so I make a call with a suited Ace and figure if I get the right flop, I can double up again through the same guy. What makes it worse was I had unlicked Auto-Post Blind and was one hand away from leaving the room with a nice profit. Maybe unclicking Auto-Post is bad luck cause this is the 5th time I've been cold-decked within 3 hands of unclicking Auto-Post. But bad streaks make it easy to remember strange coincidences.
